  1. Have a load test done on the battery. I've seen batteries go bad within 6 months. That way you eliminate charging system as culprit
  2. When my o2 sensor was going out, it had no power under load and cel stayed on under acceleration. Might want to check it first. Intake doesn't have to be pulled to change plugs. First two plugs on drivers side go between intake runners and the back plug isn't bad with swivel and extension
  3. I put my single din radio that has a remote down low and installed volt and oil pressure gauge in a plate above radio
  4. Not yet on the Pathfinder but they worked great on my dads F150
  5. Thanks for the recommendations. Here's the site I was talking about. I put the slotted and dimpled rotors front and rear on a 07 f150. Braking was night and day different. http://brakeperformance.com/brake-rotors/Premium-Dimpled-and-Slotted-Brake-Rotors.php
  6. I'm looking for suggestions on replacing front rotors. I found some slotted and dimpled rotors with pads for $165. I've used their products before but don't know if the upgraded rotors are overkill. Does anyone have any suggestions on part store rotors that aren't junk or just upgrade and wait 10 days for the upgraded ones to ship?
  7. Check fuel pressure with engine off and on. Sounds like fuel pressure regulator flooding engine. Engine ran good after filter change as fuel system was lower pressure then built up and engine started running bad again. Ethanol gas is a killer for our older trucks. My dad's Ford F150 died and wouldn't start up. Pulled air inlet and gas smell was horrible. Checked fuel pressure and it pegged my gauge at 80psi.
  8. Any local repair should do it if you can take them both alternators
  9. Aftermarket parts are being built worse every year it seems. I sound like my dad " stuff doesn't last like it used to"
  10. Follow this link. Will give you all the info you need. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/13706-how-to-install-a-90-amp-alternator/
  11. Sounds like alternator. I'm on my 2nd alternator in 18 months. The alternator is not making power so the truck is running off the battery. That's why it died when you unhooked cable. Research upgrading alternator for more amps. I went from 70 amp to a 90 amp Maxima alternator and it's actually cheaper than the stock replacement
  12. When making slight left hand turns in my 95 xe 4wd, the steering sticks like when a rack and pinion is going out. Only does it going left especially onto a 4 lane road, turning the steering a 1/8 to 1/4 turn. Any suggestions where to start? Hoping it's not the steering box. $$$
  13. The lights will come on with the handle is pulled up and hatch is opened. The latch mechanism on the hatch door could be loose. Try tightening the bolts there first.
  14. I would check the transmission fluid very closely. Don't know if these have external trans coolers or not.
  15. Mine came from Kentucky. Just aggrevated with the rust
  16. I was hoping NHTSA would look at the pathfinder because of the frame rot since Nissan wouldn't
  17. I put it in this forum because the WD21 pathfinders are configured the same way
  18. The NHTSA is wanting Chrysler to recall certain Jeeps with fuel tanks behind the rear axle. Do you think maybe we could get a recall on our pathfinders since we have rear mounted fuel tanks and some have frame rot?
  19. If I ever raise mine higher, I'll build a drop bracket. I try to make as many parts as I can.
  20. Thanks for the info! Now to find some springs this weekend
  21. Hey everyone, I was going to replace rear springs with Jeep springs if I can find some at junkyard. Only looking for stock ride height to 1 inch lift at the most. Just need more weight capacity for traveling. Will I need to modify the panhard bar mount with such a small lift?
  22. 1/4 drive extensions with a 7 mm or 1/4 socket and put a screwdriver tip in the socket
  23. Welcome to the forum. I'm only 30 miles up the road from you
  24. My relay was bad when I got my 95. Switch would light up with bad relay. Found one at NAPA.
  25. A little tip on shock replacement. If they have the plastic cable keeping them compressed out of the box, don't cut it yet and bolt up the most difficult end. That's usually the top. After bolting one end, cut the plastic retainer and guide the other end as it extends.
