  1. When the a/c kicks in, I can really feel the motor bog down. Is that normal with the vg30? Can even feel it on the interstate at 3k rpms.
  2. I've had my iPhone 4 since July '10. I had several different smartphones, but I like apple products better. Call me a fanboy if you want. Ease of operation and hd video is really good.
  3. There were 3 people including myself and about 300 lbs of luggage. If I fix the leaking manifold, might pickup a little bit more.
  4. Hello everyone. Just finished a 1100 mile trip from Birmingham to Savannah Ga/ Hilton Head Island SC. With 800 miles interstate at 65mph @ 3k rpms and 300 miles in town, we averaged 19.2 mpg. The truck has stock 235 tires and 4.30 gears. Only mods are K&N drop in filter and thrush muffler with no cat. Not bad with 163k miles and a/c on non-stop.
  5. Can you see if the amp is coming on? X2 on re-wiring speakers. Mine sounds so much better
  6. I live about 20 miles from tuscaloosa. My house is fine but alot of friends are not. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. At this moment, we have over 200 deaths in Alabama. Don't know if this is against forum rules, but if you can please text DISASTER to 90999. It's through the red cross to help in all the damaged areas. Thanks
  7. Check out EBC brakes. I have them on my Buick grand national and they stop like crazy.
  8. I have been using a craftsman 3 ton high lift floor jack. I believe it lifts 21 inches. Plus it's not too bad on the back.
  9. I'm guessing whoever filled the tanks before delivering screwed up. I'm smelling lawsuit.
  10. The water pump was a new unit not a rebuilt. Some companies are casting the housing from oem molds. I bought a brand new, not rebuilt, for my 87 caddy last year.
  11. I used a water pump from advance auto. That's been 2 years and 30k miles ago. No problems so far.
  12. This explaining this to the insurance company. http://bullockcounty.wsfa.com/news/news/vehicle-explosion-rocks-union-springs/77176
  13. Trying airing down a couple of psi. Heavy tires and high pressure, the tires bounce like basketballs. The factory air pressure is 26psi. Nissan figures that air pressure when calculating spring rates and shock compression and rebound.
  14. What size tire and air pressure?
  15. That's what I was thinking. Thanks for the info.
  16. Has anyone seen any kind of mileage improvement with manual hubs? Thinking about ditching the auto hubs and was wondering about any improvements.
  17. Did a google search. Hope this helps. http://www.nissanpartszone.com/components/1994-nissan-pathfinder_spare-tire-hanger-570-1515.html
  18. 10w-40 is way too thick on fresh lifters. It ran fine at first cause the lifters had oil in them from soaking. After that, very little oil is getting to the top end. 10w is cold weight, 40 is the weight when warm. Clearances are too narrow for good oil flow.
  19. That's 3 really light coats of black. I didn't want to go too heavy and have the paint run.
  20. Just installed a curt mfg hitch on my 95. I ordered it through rockauto.com. For the hitch and shipping minus the 5.99 discount, it came to 128 bucks. Just a heads up in case anyone was looking to buy. Part number is 13095
  21. 1 kit did all 5 wheels. If your doing wheels and guards, I'd go with 2 kits. Just use plenty of the clear that comes in the kit. I'm trying to find chrome center caps to go with the chrome lip.
  22. passenger side. Dirty from rain and brake dust Spare tire.
  23. I can take some pics for ya tomorrow. I just cleaned the wheels and used a tack cloth before spraying. No sanding of the chrome. Imagine black chrome if that makes any sense. Also the more coats, the darker the finish.
  24. I used the duplicolor paint on my chrome wheels. It called shadow and is made to paint over chrome wheels. It gives it a black chrome look. I left the outside edge where the wheel weights go chrome.
  25. My 95 would do the exact same thing. Ended up being the o2 sensor. When mine bogged down, the more gas you gave it, the worse it got.
