  1. I did the 90 amp maxima alternator swap a few months ago and worked out good. Used my old belt that was a dayco 17370. Switched to gates brand belts and its too short. Does anyone know the correct part number for belt? They're saying 9361m but its too short.
  2. Looks like difference is one has fender flare holes and the others don't. Check description on each fender to find which one you need.
  3. Thanks for all the great info. Off to the parts store
  4. Hey everyone, I'm looking to replace my drive belts this weekend. There's a annoying squeak from the a/c belt at the idler pulley. If I spray a lubricant in the the pulley groove, it stops for a few minutes and the idler pulley is a newer one. It has 4 year old dayco gold belts and I'm looking for the best replacement brand?
  5. When my cat went bad, I unbolted it and gutted and bolted it back up. I have no emissions in my state
  6. Also check the junkyards and used parts online. I've had pretty good luck with LKQ.com
  7. Check Craigslist or rockauto.com. 1997 - 2003 Infiniti QX4 and 1996 - 2004 Nissan Pathfinder are the only ones that will fit without modifying
  8. Water injection works great with N/A motors. Let's you bump timing higher as the octane in the fuel is increased. We have used it on gas burner delivery trucks were we need a little bump in power
  9. What about routing air filter inside to the passenger compartment? It would pull 70-75 degree air all year long
  10. I have this squeal on my 95xe that comes and goes. Belts, water pump and the a/c idler pulley were replaced 4 years ago (35k). Everytime I go to remove belts and find noise, its not there. Turning steering wheel and turning a/c off and on makes no difference. I'm stumped http://www.youtube.c...bed/MmzEiMr33aQ
  11. Just wanted to tell everyone thanks for the good info here on swapping to 90amp maxima alternator. Used a 1990 model alternator. Bolted right in and just swapped pulleys. Plus saved 80 bucks and got more amps
  12. I used the duplicolor shadow on my stock ones. No sanding. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=29728&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1
  13. Good luck with the move. My girl is from Syracuse and still has family there. Let me know if u have any questions.
  14. With a remote mounted turbo, you don't touch the manifolds. It's bolts in downstream of them. The older ones had a oil line that ran to them, but the newer ones has there own oil supply.
  15. Why not a turbo? Cheaper, easier install and more power. STS turbo systems makes a universal kit that places the turbo where the muffler sits. Installed one on a 2000 z28 camaro. Night and day performance difference.
  16. Is the hitch welded or bolt-on? When I installed my curt hitch, there was front to back adjustment. Put mine all the way to the rear.
  17. I have my window sticker on my 95 xe. I think mine 29k and change. Also have all the manuals and booklets and even have the port inspection paperwork. Will post them this weekend( it's at work)
  18. When the a/c kicks in, I can really feel the motor bog down. Is that normal with the vg30? Can even feel it on the interstate at 3k rpms.
  19. There were 3 people including myself and about 300 lbs of luggage. If I fix the leaking manifold, might pickup a little bit more.
  20. Hello everyone. Just finished a 1100 mile trip from Birmingham to Savannah Ga/ Hilton Head Island SC. With 800 miles interstate at 65mph @ 3k rpms and 300 miles in town, we averaged 19.2 mpg. The truck has stock 235 tires and 4.30 gears. Only mods are K&N drop in filter and thrush muffler with no cat. Not bad with 163k miles and a/c on non-stop.
  21. Can you see if the amp is coming on? X2 on re-wiring speakers. Mine sounds so much better
  22. Check out EBC brakes. I have them on my Buick grand national and they stop like crazy.
  23. I have been using a craftsman 3 ton high lift floor jack. I believe it lifts 21 inches. Plus it's not too bad on the back.
  24. The water pump was a new unit not a rebuilt. Some companies are casting the housing from oem molds. I bought a brand new, not rebuilt, for my 87 caddy last year.
