I replaced all 4 speakers with Polk Audio 5x7's. I bypassed all the stock speaker wire and amps and ran all new wire. With a Pioneer 4400hd head unit and a MTX 150 watt amp pushing a 10 inch audio phonics single sub in a box I built. Crystal clear sound and good bass

Check both ends of the torsion bar to see if the splines are stripped.

The E rated tires will be way too stiff. I run 215/85/16 on a gmc 1 ton box truck and fully loaded they have little give. Plus the stiff tires might wear out suspension parts faster

The belt was so tight, I had to take the fan off and put the fan pulley on the water pump. So I went with a Gates 9370. Gates site shows a 9361 but its too short
-
I took the adjuster completely out and the belt was still too short. Dayco and Gates show different lengths with the dayco being longer. I went with a 1 inch longer gates belt and the alternator is in the middle of adjuster so everything is back together
-
I did the 90 amp maxima alternator swap a few months ago and worked out good. Used my old belt that was a dayco 17370. Switched to gates brand belts and its too short. Does anyone know the correct part number for belt? They're saying 9361m but its too short.

Looks like difference is one has fender flare holes and the others don't. Check description on each fender to find which one you need.

Thanks for all the great info. Off to the parts store

Who carries Gates brand?

Hey everyone, I'm looking to replace my drive belts this weekend. There's a annoying squeak from the a/c belt at the idler pulley. If I spray a lubricant in the the pulley groove, it stops for a few minutes and the idler pulley is a newer one. It has 4 year old dayco gold belts and I'm looking for the best replacement brand?

When my cat went bad, I unbolted it and gutted and bolted it back up. I have no emissions in my state
-
Also check the junkyards and used parts online. I've had pretty good luck with LKQ.com
-
Check Craigslist or rockauto.com. 1997 - 2003 Infiniti QX4 and 1996 - 2004 Nissan Pathfinder are the only ones that will fit without modifying

Water injection works great with N/A motors. Let's you bump timing higher as the octane in the fuel is increased. We have used it on gas burner delivery trucks were we need a little bump in power
-
What about routing air filter inside to the passenger compartment? It would pull 70-75 degree air all year long

I have this squeal on my 95xe that comes and goes. Belts, water pump and the a/c idler pulley were replaced 4 years ago (35k). Everytime I go to remove belts and find noise, its not there. Turning steering wheel and turning a/c off and on makes no difference. I'm stumped http://www.youtube.c...bed/MmzEiMr33aQ

Nissan didn't merge with Renault until 1999 and the recall was 96-04. Heck Isuzu hasn't sold a passenger vehicle in the US in the last 2-3 years and they are repairing or buying the defective SUVs
-
Isuzu is recalling their Rodeos and amigos for structural failure from excessive rust. How can we Nissan to step up to the plate to address our issues?

Just wanted to tell everyone thanks for the good info here on swapping to 90amp maxima alternator. Used a 1990 model alternator. Bolted right in and just swapped pulleys. Plus saved 80 bucks and got more amps

I used the duplicolor shadow on my stock ones. No sanding. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=29728&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1

Good luck with the move. My girl is from Syracuse and still has family there. Let me know if u have any questions.

With a remote mounted turbo, you don't touch the manifolds. It's bolts in downstream of them. The older ones had a oil line that ran to them, but the newer ones has there own oil supply.
-
Why not a turbo? Cheaper, easier install and more power. STS turbo systems makes a universal kit that places the turbo where the muffler sits. Installed one on a 2000 z28 camaro. Night and day performance difference.
-
Is the hitch welded or bolt-on? When I installed my curt hitch, there was front to back adjustment. Put mine all the way to the rear.

I have my window sticker on my 95 xe. I think mine 29k and change. Also have all the manuals and booklets and even have the port inspection paperwork. Will post them this weekend( it's at work)
