how about the air temp sensor, in the bottom of the lower air box, behind the bumper. i dont know if it would affect anything that drastically, but couldnt hurt to make sure it didnt fall out (like mine likes to)

sounds like a faulty coil then. how does the coils connections going to the fuse block look...

how are your connections form the battery? cleaned them before putting back together?

using this information, i would first check all the connections on the cap. since you said he just recently had it replaced, i'd check all the wires, the ground, and if the cap is even still tight...

geesh 4k for a 110k r50, lucky bastage. i bought mine just over a year ago for 4k with 176k. as for your offroading question, xe se le, doesnt matter, its nothing more than a convience package really, ie leather seats heated seats/mirrors moon roof that sorta stuff. rust is a big issue, especially around the rear wheel fenders, and if equipped with flares, be prepared for most of whats behind them to be rusted away. check the exhaust system as well, near the center where the two pipes come together. mine was rusted free of its mount, and it has cost me 2 manifolds so far. for offroading addons, theres tons of information here that you can use. suspension upgrades, tire/wheel exhanges, that stuff. theres tons of debates over whats best too lol well, welcome, and good luck...

mine has the same dilemma, i took the compressor off last week to see if the clutch is very had to rebuild. i've found write ups on others for different cars, i will let you know what i find out.

so, since my pathy was in a fight with a tree and lost, i decided to pick up my winch bumper project again. i've already got a fully assembled bumper, that does not fit. i'm going to cut and make new mounts for the pathy. my question is, where all does a winch bumper mount. i dont see these 2 teenie bolts being all that holds it on. does anyone have pictures of theres mounted or the pictures of a bumper not mounted just to see the brackets.. also my drivers side fender got smashed due to my brush guard folding in, and my airbox inside the fender got destroyed. so i am considering making a custom snorkel. where is the filter???? does the tubing just go into the bottom of the stock box, or is there another way of putting a filter in so it doesn't get wet. i see people with cone filters on the end of their snorkel, but i dont see how that can do any good, it will just get wet out there...

who's sick r50 with the custom rear carrier is that.....

flashing means, a system failure was detected (ie power surge, loss of power, ect..) but its still functioning. when it goes solid, then you have a problem...

how much lift are we comparing?

i'll hold my tongue for the most part. should this really be something you do to your daily driver if you have no backup vehicle?

how about gettin pulled over for the tabs on A trailer being expired, getting a ticket because the lights are too dim, no insurance (of course ), and i just got back from the military and hadnt had my license reinstated (which you have 90 days from return to do), and my boss in the passenger seat. pulling a load for work. go figure. nice thing about washington is, if the cop doesnt show up to court, his report fills in for him. this cop seemingly forgot to, or something like that. well the prosecuting attorney interrupts the judge to tell him that the report for the case is missing. case dismissed. no fine, nothing. over 3k in fines, thrown out. there were many many pissed off people i had to pass on my way out , cause it only happened for me that was the only time i've been pulled over, in almost a year, since i traded my honda in for the pathy. i'm even running straight pipes, and obviously stand out like a sore thumb, and cops dont even give me a second look anymore. i love it. when i got back from the military, i drove the honda for a week, got pulled over 5 times in that week. dove out of it as fast as i could.

they obviously all died off, cause this is the first r50 here i've seen besides my own, and its not lifted yet. i still get gawked at when i go to orv, they think i have nothing to wheel with cept mommy's ride

well i've seen it around town a few times, never got to talk to the owner or see it besides on the road. today i just so happen to park next to it at walmart, a 99.5, only a few minutes before the owner came out. to my great dismay, they were absolutely clueless. they bought it from a guy in oregon just like it is. unfortunately for him, there are no manual hubs, and his front cvs are absolutely destroyed. i gave him the npora address, told him its an easy fix, manual hubs will prevent the extra wear, and replacing them is easy as well. he has the racho rear and kyb up front, no skid, no panhard drop. pics, of course, i was pretty much drooling over this beast. just seeing this in person put the lift into so much more aspect for me. my lift is a definite going to happen now!
