you can't just swap out the engines. The problem is, if you put in an EFI engine and attach it to the TBI, you will get fire.. big fire. The TBI is basically (for lack of better explanation) always open on the fuel injectors. If you are always open on the EFI fuel injectors you will have problems. if you swap out everything (basically running a 95 setup in the 87) the computer, wire harness and other periferies will be wrong. This is vague and i'm sure 88 will correct me, but unless you only use the engine and run all the 87 BS with it, you will have problems.

I have used JB weld on the following. 1) cracked water jacket on an inboard boat motor. It was only cracked through to the outside so we buttened it up.. worked for over 15 years till the boat fell apart. 2) when i was in high school, me and a friend of mine were changing the motor mounts in his 66-F100. In the process of jacking the engine up, we neglected to notice the huge hole that we just broke in the side of the transmission top cover (it was aluminium). I took a piece of card board and layered the jb on thick, slapped in over the whole and wha la! that same tranny is behind a different engine in a different truck and its till the same!

I retract my previus statement.. i agree about the T-case gears. some 4:1's would be sooooo nice and easier on the clutch. and what was that thing i saw about 115 bucks for a body lift.. check out jcwhitney man they are only like 75 bucks

Unfortunately I have not had the pleasure to work on that project, but hope to get up there next month to trouble shoot the computer system. cool beans! Hell, that ain't bad, i have a (i guess kinda rare, never seen it elseware) "Nissan" decal that runs the lower length of the body / door a bright yellow "pathfinder emblemon the back and people ask, "what is it?" dumb ass people. I tell them its a N100. That confuses the hell out of them you can see the nissan in the first pic and barely see the yellow "pathfinder" on the second

Thats cool, i got one of those letters from VA affairs that I am one of those lucky individuals whith all the information on the computer.

open your radiator cap, start the engine. wait till the T-stat opens and make sure that rad is full. These nissan v6engines are a PITA when it comes to getting all the air out of the engine. make sure that the flow looks like a river inside after its warm and that the water is right up to the top everybody i have spoke to had this problem after changeing T-stat, water pump, or drained the coolant.

K&n makes a drop in filter replacement, for the 87. I havn't bought one but i've sourced one for my 87. they are like 54 bucks. The problem with the older nissans is performance upgrades. The biggest problem with the 87's is the TBI. They will work indefinately but no upgrade parts. Most EFI vehicles, you can tweek the ECU, custom exhaust bigger injectors.. ect. but you are stuck with the stock injectors that you have. They are really expensive to replace as well. but you bought an 87! The original pathfinder! (i always give people crap on this just because i have one, mine is an actual 86.5) you will enjoy her/him as we all have

my pathy has always done that. and i've had it for 13 years. I belive its a pressure regulator/relief. It does it more the longer it runs. sure there comes a point where it doesn't get any worse but when i first start it, just barely. but when i'm off road its noticable from outside but not inside.

slep in till 7:30.. had a hot one, got cards from the kids.. a BJ from the missus. then went to the garage and worked hard on the pathy till around 1, then started the BBQ, got 2 racks of ribs slow cooking. Went back to work on the pathy.. dropped a radius arm (non stock pathy part) on my foot and broke 2 toes... so i sat in the yard the rest of the day. i don't recomend dropping a 40 lb piece of steel on your foot. hurts like hell. but i got a reprieve from work on monday!

too much work to do and too far to drive the pathy. No trailer yet. Besides, my POS is not built for sand. It built to go real slow, real well.

I wish, My company has recently implemented a random piss test. at first you knew it was every 3 months, and it was on the nose, so you could plan for it and make sure you were good. this could possibly be the problem. I remember when i took my air filter out (essentially allowing more flow due to no filter restiction) I had the same effects you are mensioning, like its dronding out. and if you floor it acts like its gonna die. try some restriction in the line, just to eliminate the possibility.

Damn man you need to get some facts straight. do you have any idea how much second hand smoke you would have to inhale to get a contact high? Me and you would have to lock ourselves in an 8x8 room close the doors and smoke till you couldn't see the door. then you might get a contact high...

we already did that, its called ALCOHOL.. it was illegal, now it isn't and its worse than pot.. obviously this is an argument between smokers and non smokers. I just don't see how people can argue about something they don't know anything about... just the..
