  1. not sure what to use for hte rear of a hardbody. for the front use Waggy 44044's. PM packie 88 for hte part number, thats what he used and works well.
  2. ya, make sure the carburator is clean.
  3. its chev 63's. the are REALLY long. they work well, but would take som fab work. there are much better alternatives out there now. trail gear, RE, etc.
  4. I just went out and checked 9/86 Is my build date.
  5. no. bearings are funny. i would bet that with additional load (hose being pinched off createing back presure) its making hte bearing more "stable". If you read his posts, it also says it does not do it when its cold. I.e. thermostate closed, createing more back pressure. I vote water pump bearing.
  6. ya.. .. it got drunk out last night.. lol I prefer the black out on MOST vehicles.
  7. make a new one out of a mt dew bottle.
  8. do you get paid for the advertising? NOPE: black side out.
  9. if you get a waggy front end (waggy front end = d44), yes you can keep the rear. Just have to make sure the gears match.
  10. not everybody.. but most. if you want to keep the stock H233b rear end, you should go this route. If you want to go full width, get a HPD44 (i have a full wideth HPD44)
  11. dana 35, yes and i wouldn't even bother. the first thing the jeep guys do is to get rid of those. If you break an axle shaft, your wheel will fall off due to the wheel bearing / stub shaft design.
  12. thats not a bad write up. except: He said that the stp and supertech have no bypass, yet i can see it sitting there..lol The major difference between a good bypass and a poor bypass are the springs. I.e. you see the flat sping Vs. the coil spring.. the flat springs are not very good and can ware out quickly. but its good to see that a mobil filter is OK..
  13. i'll have to cut one of those apart. one of these days, i'm going to go buy a bunch of new filters, cut htem apart and take photos' so people can see what they are actually getting. Marketing is everything. fram poor quality good avertising = lots of sales. Wix NO marketing, GOOD quality = average sales.
  14. well at least they are not toyota frames, every one form 86 and newer are worse than our..
  15. all napa filters are made by WIX. they are good filters.
  16. I have seen so many people use them, expecially up in canada. Most of my friends run them. even though i constantly tell them, GET RID OF THAT THING. I have seen them come apart (and send crap through your engine), i have seen the bypasses fail cuasing over pressurization and the filter exploding.. ext. If you can find Wix, you can't go wrong. (i think i ran bosh in mine up in canada because i couldn't find wix.)
  17. ah.. thank you.. I should have done that along time ago, with V6 as well..lol
  18. is there anyway you can put somebody on Ignor? I've been on a few sites that this is an option if people keep annoying you. it just makes it so, you can't see individual posts.
  19. K&N have good media, good seal, @!*%ty bypass spring Puralotro, average media average seal POS bypass spring Frame, Crappy media, crappy seal, crappy bypass spring. I hae not cut apart a Bosh filter. But i have used them.. they seam to be OK.. I need to cut one apart and have a look.
  20. FYI, Nissan oil filters are now made in CHINA.. sooooooooooooo Personnally, i use Napa, Carquest, wix.. they are all made by wix. wix are the best oil filters on the market and cheaper than the "name brands" I've cut many oil filters apart and made my own desision on them.. do not use Fram Puralator K&N
