  1. So really it is this way: The I6 is nearly dead because a V6 is better in almost every aspect.
  2. I don't know there is almost no space to stick anything in. If you remove that seal you will see there is no room. I see those washers fall into that abyss on many Pathfinders. They are there so that when you tighten the screw, it doesn't go through the seal. If only they at least closed that gap between the door and the two bottom holes. I can drill a hole to get the washers out with the claw though.
  3. Those washers are aluminum and do not respond to magnetic forces.
  4. HELP!! I was changing my mirrors and on the right side, when I was remounting the seal (the rubber triangle thing) the washers on the other side popped off and fell into the holes in the door. Now there is like no way to get them out. They are in that stupid welded bracket section of the door too. Should I just drill a hole toward the lower part and get the washers out?
  5. They aren't failing because you don't live in the salt/rust belt. I do and where other Pathfinders have been rotted to crap around me, my frame is perfect. I rarely ever wash it and the truck is not even kept in a garage and it still looks mint.
  6. Don't even get me started on I5 engines, especially those Vulvas with the turbo setups. They are the worst piles of @!*% ever made. How can an I5 even balance itself? Hello?!?!
  7. Are you running the stock SIZE or the stock TIRES that Nissan supplies? My tire placard says 28 psi but I put my tires at 33 psi because they are not the original tires.
  8. It's not easy. See if you can copy the fuel map settings from a supercharged VG33ER motor, that might get everything close enough.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89o5rLpbCgI If you want to do valve lash, make sure the exhaust rocker is looser than the intake one because the exhaust valve stem stretches when it gets hot.
  10. OK I have a solution for you: The timing on that Pathfinder is definitely off a tooth. Either some moron did the timing belt or it will fail soon. Strip that parts Pathfinder that you have from its fenders and take all the timing belt components, since you just had the timing belt done there. Then pull the intake plenum and take the engine harness out. Then reinstall the parts in the newer Pathfinder. You have to do it soon because you may have to swap engines if the timing fails. For those of you who think this is a vacuum leak, it isn't. You can plug the air holes in the air box and the engine dies.
  11. I find it weird how the early frames stand up much better to rust than the newer frames. It's funny how the 87-92 D21/WD21 trucks suffer from timing belt failures while the 93-95s suffer from frame failures. It appears to me that to get a perfect Pathfinder you have to swap the 95 body onto the 91 or so frame. The second best from that is to transplant a 94-95 block into the 91 or so chassis. If you have the extra cash, go for the VG33E block from 96-00 with either choice.
  12. I would just like to say that the truck rides damn nice with the Gas-A-Justs. I wish it was a little stiffer though so Monomax may have been a better choice. I would not mind trying the Rancho 9000XLs either.
  13. yes that's all true now chris go check for leaks
  14. Personally I like how you can completely remove the sunroof on the WD21/D21 trucks. It works sort of as an emergency exit or roof access too.
  15. I had to do that and let me tell you it's a $600 job if you get a deal.
  16. Was there ever a power sunroof on the WD21? I swear I could remember seeing a little motor next to it on a 94 at the junkyard.
  17. If it is a VQ engine then it does not have a distributor.
  18. What?! Just a heads up, I just got the Kayaba shocks in the mail. They are sweet! They look really tough too, it is going to take some serious pounding to bend those suckers.
  19. Now that should have been the factory adjustable system.
  20. If you want a true performance and gas saving Pathfinder with a frame, get a 2WD LE and swap a VG33E into it. If you are looking for MPG, keep the milder VG33E cams.

  22. Yes, those are the "cell" style twin-tubes. My favorite website says:
  23. Actually the Rancho 9000 XL shocks are "premium twin-tube" shocks with "monoflow". They are very advanced but for the price I thought the Gas-A-Justs were a better deal. I would definitely try the 9000 XLs out if I can get that wireless controller for them. I'm just too lazy to go adjust them all the time.
