I think it's a good idea. I was thinking about doing something similar on the WD21. The water will drain out while the air will be sucked up the hose. I say just leave it as is and don't connect that hose to the filter, it will be safer this way as it will reduce the sucking power inside the hose while at the same time bringing a breeze of air close to the filter.

it's a crappy foam seal on both sides you need to go and find the drain tube which is right against the firewall and unclog that with some wire

I don't cross-thread my bolts. I heard about the drilling them out piece before too but I think the stock bolts are sufficient. Keep in mind Japan has a tendency to make things really small but really tough at the same time. Also, they can be drilled bigger later in case anything happens.

Get the KYB Gas-A-Justs. I have them and they ride damn nice. You can also opt for MonoMax if you want stiffer damping. As for the strut mount, you want to go OEM for that. Yes, KYB mounts are crap. -

Not always... Sometimes it is just better to set the gasket on a clean surface and that's it. Putting stuff on it will only make the gasket crush faster. Also, the sealer may be dissolved away with fuel vapors.

Yes, do not use RTV on the gasket. If the gasket is good, it will seal without RTV.
