I agree, the eBay kits just half ass the HID install and throw the light in every direction. I don't think there are any Pathfinder HID headlights that are available for WD21s. The only option, if you want HIDs, is to get auxiliary "glass eye" style lights and mount them in the fog light circuit.

If I were to do HIDs, I would use real HID headlights, the ones with the glass eye thing for better aiming. Those HID kits just put HID bulbs into regular headlight housings, which makes them extremely hard to aim properly. I really don't know how the HID ballast switches between high and low beam without a motorized mount. Maybe it reduces the voltage to the bulb? I have to research the HID kits more to see how well they will run with regular headlight housings. Do you have some driving pictures at night?

Are they really high and low beam? Do they have one of those light focus ballasts and motorized mounts? That looks like a decent kit.

The best truck is an R50 with the VG33E. It is reliable, powerful, efficient, and has the ability to be modded well enough to take on off-road terrain. They look like crap stock but when you put decent meats on them and taller coils they look amazing. The whole frame-less thing is a bunch of garbage because the R50 does have an internal frame underneath that uni-body. The R50 is at least twice as tough as a WD21 in stock form! They also come with OBD II computers, which probably can be re-programmed to do what you want. Put VG30E cams in that VG33E motor and you are flying! VG powered R50 all the way and this is coming from a WD21 owner. The only reason I still like my WD21 is the lack of bull@!*% safety devices like airbags and the minimal emissions control system. Eventually I may go with a VG powered R50 though after WD21's get too old.

Check the rear fuel sender for corrosion. They tend to corrode and short out. Then check/replace the fuel pump fuse.

The trans temp only goes way up if you shift at the redline (or in POWER mode) if you really want to test how well it performs.

I think the best spot to probe for voltage would be through the cig lighter socket.

Is this the same for 90+ models? My voltage gauge would sometimes just read the max 18v for no apparent reason what so ever.

Correct, mounting the antenna on the roof also increases its line of sight. I don't know how well the range will be on the tire carrier but if you say it works for small groups then I guess it works. I don't mean to jack the thread but it bugs me every time people use stupid antenna mounts and illegal export only amps. Now let's find you some tail lights!

Straighten out those valves with a screwdriver and try again. I had no idea those studs could snap, I never replaced mine not even doing the timing belt.

A roof mount is the best because it is the most effective. Remember what you see as an antenna is not an actual antenna! Your whole truck is an antenna along with that wire that sticks out. CB waves are very TALL and LONG because the frequency they operate at is very LOW. So the taller your wire sticks up, the better reception you will have. If there is anything that pisses me off more is those illegal export only amplifiers that crowd the entire CB channel. If you are worried about the antenna hitting things, there are things you can do to make it more flexible.
