  2. i found it impossible to bring the cat any closer than the original location on top of the last frame crossmember i think the truck was designed without the catalytic converter in mind so there isn't much room for one if i lived in a state that did not require inspections, i would just leave a test pipe in that location
  3. OH HELL YES, first section made!!!! Hey, it's almost straight... I guess this should be renamed to custom "home-made" 2.5" exhaust building thread.

  5. Updated and corrected the Y-pipe specification. The Doug Thorley headers exit in 2.5" not 2.25".
  6. Does your truck make snapping noises on acceleration? It is probably the BPT valve. Mine has been doing that forever.

it could just be a faulty sensor
  9. you have a problem with the switch it's so common on many cars prior to 2000 because they did not use relays for the lights and then the switches melt
  10. I don't know, their service was pretty good to me.
  11. Why do you have an air horn in your Sentra?
  12. You will actually get much more power if you swap the 3.0 camshafts into the 3.3 engine.
  13. Pumping air and pumping freon are two different things. The compressor can fail if not used as intended. You will also get that oil everywhere if you want to pump something with it.
  14. That's insane, can't wait to see that thing fire up!
  15. Many of you with MPFI engine trucks probably experienced that somewhat high pitch quick clicking/snapping sound under acceleration. It always bugged me but I always thought it was either the fuel injectors or broken manifold studs. Currently, I have all new studs and they are the 300zx turbo studs too and the sound is still there. Then somehow I don't believe it is the fuel injectors that are making that sound either. For example, the VG30E Nissan Quest does not make this noise. A member of the forum here (adamzan) told me that the sound may come from the EGR system or the BPT valve, probably due to it being old and broken. Due to the high pitch of this clicking sound, a camera microphone is unable to capture it. I think the sound is probably filtered out as noise. That rules out rod knock and detonation as a camera microphone is able to pick those up just fine. Also, this is NOT lifter tick because that goes away after a few seconds.
