  1. Some pictures would be nice as always... Maybe they relocated the knock sensor? That one is really sketchy.
  2. The good old front wheel drive trick... Be careful with that one as you can totally blow up your transfer case and CV axles.
  3. Yeah you can run Mobil1 synthetic oil for 5000 miles or longer. I run the same oil and change it every 5000 miles and it still comes out clean.
  4. You will have to weld new brackets on. There is no other way. Bending them back will only make them worse. Looks like a trip to the body shop.
  5. Get the gaskets you are going to be scraping off while getting to that part.
  6. I changed the fuel filter because the plastic fitting snapped off. I had the original 1991 fuel filter up until 2007. Then I changed the fuel filter again recently because the cheap replacement rusted.
  7. On a related note, for those of you who never tried, I once bought real Nissan power steering fluid. Guess what it is the same thing as NissanMatic D with slightly lesser odor. Maybe less cleaning agents? I also once ran basic power steering fluid in my truck and it worked fine but the steering definitely felt better with the real ATF stuff in it. Currently I run AMSOIL Synthetic ATF in my power steering and it works like it was made to work.
  8. At least provide a link if you want to make a redirection post... Thanks.
  9. Sounds like it's not getting any fuel.
  10. The window pisser finally works.

Now, I've heard of people licking windows, but...

Pull over if you gotta go that bad!

  11. Yeah the insulation is not the greatest. The body is made from cardboard and beer cans.
  12. DO NOT under ANY circumstances change the position of the gear in the distributor from the factory specified location. The dots have to be in line for the timing to function properly.
  13. Yeah the setup really kicks ass. I could stay on a beat up road all day long going 40 mph and the truck just goes like a boat through water. I got one quick question though... My steering fluid is running a little warm. Maybe around 65 C. Is that normal?
  14. This looks like a normal thing for R50s. One I was under had the right mount just like this too.
  15. That's good. Maybe you can take the old bumper with you and I can drive over to your new place and pick it up? Unless of course you already have too much stuff to carry. Syracuse would be a pretty fun drive, I was there before.
  16. Looks like a MAF sensor problem to me. Could be the wiring. You got any codes? The other thing that could make it run this ****** is a bad distributor.
  17. The stock TREs seem to bend against the joint. These solve that problem by changing the direction of travel of the joint. I think it will hold up better than the 4WD stuff.
  18. Making Jeep people jealous.

      With your awsome cup holders?

  19. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/32629-custom-2wd-steering-system-conversion/ http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/33061-2wd-steering-setup-installed-w-pictures-using-oem-steering-damper/ Yes there is! Going to take my setup off-road this week and see if it bends. Can I ask you where you managed to bend yours?
  20. There are spray on sound deadener paints which are pretty much exactly like bed liners. Spraying your bare roof with them will take out all the tin can feel indeed. I wouldn't put expansion foam anywhere though as that can trap moisture and cause corrosion.
  21. Purring? It should be silent.
  22. That looks great. Wish I had the time and money to build one. Is your old rear bumper for sale? I need a factory replacement for now.
  23. Just go back a few pages...
  24. Running too lean indicates that there is either too much air or too little fuel. Does your EGR valve work properly? You should check it for sticking. The other thing that could possibly go wrong is the injectors not working properly. Is your MAF sensor wiring good? Do you still have that MAF sensor issue? Check all the ground ports to make sure they are there and not missing.
