  1. The tires on that Patrol look like big round balloons.
  2. You would think Nissan would wise up and realize that they could probably make some coin if they started offering them in the US. WTF? Oh and big Johnson a couple of people in FT. collins are thinking about going on a run before the forrestry roads close you up for it?
  3. I have a XE no badging whatsoever. I do not know if I have the sport package,off-road package or whatever, All I know is it has black bumpers all-power, 4x4. I see one sticker on the diff but it is crusty and I can not make out wither it says use LSD oil. I will check on whether it has LSD but I doubt it. Heck I do not even know if it comes with keyless entry or not since it had an aftermarket alarm when I bought it. (I have since gotten rid of the aftermarket alarm and thus lost my keyless entry )
  4. Dude nice pics!! YOur truck looks sweet with the lift and the arb. let's keep in touch about a run soon. And YEAH your truck really needs skids!!!
  5. so Tyler is your lift completely done? I met jason yesterday and we talked for a bit about our trucks nice guy. We both want to see your lift and hope to put something together like a run at moody hill or pingree or even flowers rd before all the forrestry roads get closed.
  6. Dude sorry to hear about things going south with the wife. Things happen for a reason, you just gotta figure out what it is. If you do decide to move come to Colorado, you were just here and I know you did not get to see nearly 2% of what it has to offer. Heck I have been here 5 years and have only experienced like probably 10-15%!! Plus we can go wheelin together!!!
  7. Jason I too am interested in getting a skid plat made so keep me informed. Sorry we could not talk more about our trucks the other day. I read your post and I do not think it is a good idea to make the skid out of aluminum. I had a thought of making some sliders out of aluminum b/c my job deals with aluminum and I know alot of people who fab and weld aluminum. Problem is aluminum is softer and will tend not so slide but hang and drag on rocks I was told this by people on this forum and it does make alot of sense. Steel is the way to go IMO. Blackpanther uses all 3/16 gauge steel but they used to use 10 guage. If your guy can make skids then I would like 10 guage. Keep my updated you got my number.
  8. Sounds good naka just give me a call.
  9. Glad to hear you got it all back together and it is running good I just did the t-belt change on my truck a few months ago so I know what you are talking about. I am glad I did it as it saved me alot of money (except that I had to replace the harmonic balancer/crank pulley ) other than that it was cool although I did not change my seals as none of them were leaking.
  10. I know what you are saying about telling everybody to buy blackpanther skids but as it stands marcell is not around and who knows when he will be back.Would marcell have to modify the skids to fit your truck with the lift? guess that is what I was really asking.
  11. Well let me know what the guy in the springs says. If they are the right price I would definetly find a way to pick them no prob. Will your skid be like mine for my stock pathy? or will it have to be modified for your dropped sub frame and lift?
  12. I have'nt heard of Xtreme engineering but I was thinking about calling MTO suspension fabricators. I had a friend that knew somebody who did alot of fab work for bullhide 4x4 on college ave. If that guy you are talking about down in the springs will make even a couple I could probably pick them up. I send one of my employees down there about once every two weeks or so. I could possibly have him pick them up. Just throwing out some ideas tyler. dam it makes me want to go ahead and call and get one fabbed up but I am broke
  13. Did you notice any extra heat from removing your heat shields. MIne rattle at certain rpm's and I kinda want to just hack them off but want to know all of the adverse affects of doing this.
  14. Tyler, let me know if you find local companies to fab up skid plates as I will also check around, but I will probably check around denver/commerce city area since that is where I work. I need skids too. I know I do not have your lift (YET....) but I still need skids and seeing that marcell is laying low makes me think I should possibly look elsewhere. I too am broke right now so I feel your pain. Hopefully I am about to line up some side work for some extra $$.
  15. If your getting your timing belt done you might want to consider looking into getting your water pump, timing belt tensioner, thermostat and coolant bypass hose done too. And you should atleast have him look at your cam-seals and your crank seal while he has it all apart too. It may be a little more money but better than getting that work done then having to spend mucho $$ just down the road to do it all over again.
  16. Those are some sweet looking wheels 98, and dam you have done alot to that pathy this year!! Good luck with finding the missfire then dyno that thing and let us all know what kinda power your pullin.
  17. I have never even heard of such a problem.
  18. So can we see pics of the back Tyler? Or hell just bring it to my house so I can check it out!!! I live across the street from the stadium and the drive-in. So when do you plan on testing it out. I wanna see some articulation.
  19. How fast are you taking these "turns".
  20. From what I hear they are the same as the pathfinder just little differences and more money. I do admit they look dam good. I am sure someone here with a Q will chime in with more details for ya.
  21. Hey Q let me know how that fuel filter goes as I want to change mine out too.
  22. I do not think mine cycles on and off. I do know my compressor has a bad bearing in it somewhere because it whines like crazy. I want to fix it but I do not want to pay a ton of cash to replace the compressor when it still actually works. Hey viper do you still drive to ft. collins? maybe when it does go out I can pay you to replace my compressor instead of gettin raped by a mechanic.
  23. I am pretty sure they are glued on there. My camaro had a leather wrapped shifter and it was teh size of a baseball and it was stitched in the middle. After a couple of years I could move the leather around. The two pieces were actually stitched together but it was held on to the actual shifter by glue.
  24. Are you sure one of the rims is bent? I would have them put on a tire balancer and see if it is bent or not first. I only ask this because I have read that these pathfinders around our year, have a rear bushing problem. Apperantly the rear bushing wear out and it causes some high speed wobbling. I have yet to encounter this problem so I am hoping maybe the Previous Owner had them replaced already (kinda hoping the same thing for the manifold too)
  25. My guess is head gasket or broken piston. The water drippage sounds like gasket. Even though the oil is black it still could be gasket. My camaro had a bad head gasket and I ahd no power and tons of water out the exhaust. I first called my pops because it was running like crap and the ecu did not know what to do so at idle it would rev up to 3000 rpm then down to 500 then up and down etc. As soon as I told my dad about the water he said check the oil, I did and it looked normal but still I had a bad gasket and two pistons were gone. (yeah the motor was fubar)
