  1. Oh I see. I just went off of what a couple people in this forum said they have paid for their exhaust. I have not personally gotten a quote, maybe I will here soon. Sounds like you got a hell of a good deal vengeful.
  2. Well all three of my company trucks use K&N filters. The 2004 is at 60,000 miles the 2003 is at 140,000 miles, and the 99 is at 292,000 (all have original engine and transmission) and all three trucks spend alot of time on dirt roads atleast 30-35% of the time. And no problems so I will stick with what works. and if it helping with any HP and gas mileage----***bonus**** -thnkboutit-
  3. Hey or 99.5, You like the chevron techron stuff?? Do you like it better than seafoam? I have used ever is seafoam. And eventhen I only use it as an additive to the gas tank. People tell me you can use it throught the brake booster or something?? Not sure if I am correct or not.
  4. Yeah then you can say you used some taters to lock your nuts and bearings.
  5. Hey atleast this dealer is coming up with something. If it is the EGI (I have no idea what that is) then I would call up the other dealer and tell them they are a bunch of *bleep*'in idiots. The dealer is supposed to be able to fix your problem no matter what since they specialize in nissan!!! I mean they charge so much that no matter what the problem or how hard it is to fix it they should be able to say we can do it? Atleast that is how I feel about it. Once again sorry about the rant
  6. I just bought a k&N filter from max and so far I am happy with it. I think it has a little bit better throttle response. My pathy is mostly a pavement pounder these days. :sniff: I have kept the old airbox though and will switch it out when i go get to go wheelin. I sure would like to do the flowmaster exhaust system but I heard it is atleast 500 bucks!! And I do not think that even comes with headers. So does not look like that is in my immediate future.
  7. I have a 97 pathy too and I am very impressed with it's off-road performance. I have not taken it into any rivers that gu over the hood yet as I am afraid of sucking water intot the intake. Although I have hit some pretty serious mud and ruts and have not been stuck yet. Most of the wheelin I do is up in the rocky mountians on mountain trails, 4x4trails and forrestry roads. These offer a combination of small boulders, mud, hill climbs, rock gardens... all around fun wheelin and I always see how far I can get in 2wd before I put it into 4wd. I am impressed with how far she can go sometimes in 2wd. Heck there has been a couple of times that I was climbing on a loose rock steep hill and had to put it into 2wd from 4wd because in 4wdHi the loose rocks made it so I had 4 wheels spinning so I popped it back into 2 wd and up she went. I suppose I could have put it into 4wd low but I have only used it once and it seems to grind alot when I try to put it into 4lo. Sorry about the rant.
  8. The sound is coming from around the dreadful # 6 plug.
  9. Fuel pump? really vengeful? Now I am all worried. It sounds like a stun gun when the batteries are almost dead (yes I have tested it with low batteries and it still made me drop my beer) anyway I inspected it in total darkness and saw no arcing spark anywhere. Anything I should do to test this fuel pump theory? Thanks for the quick response by-theway.
  10. Ok I got one for you guys. I replaced my spark plugs like 500 miles ago when I did my t-belt change. I wanted to put NGK irridium plugs in but the store did not have any in stock and I was impatient so I put auto-lite platinums in. The other day I started my truck up and now while it is running I can hear what sounds like a spark arcing (spelling) you know like a buzzing... kinda hard to explain. anyway it idles and runs great all the wires are tight, plugs are in good and I ran it at night and could not see any sparks. What do you guys think?
  11. Ok you need to post some pics because I am confused and this should not be confusing. -study-
  12. I would have thought that when the dealer hooked it up to the cpu that if the crank sensor was bad it would throw a error code that they would have seen. Oh well good luck with it.
  13. Could it be maybe that the timing was off and now either it is totally off or the t-belt itself has come off? Hopefully somebody will chime in because I am certanly no mechanic but if the dealer did not get any error codes then it seems like youare getting fuel and maybe spark. ahhh I dont know just throwing something out there. Although now I wanna know what the hell is going on so please keep us updated. :type:
  14. Ok the "dealer" could not figure out what was wrong with it??? Wow something is fubar here. Did you find out what all they did to your ride??? Or did they just hook it up to a cpu??
  15. That kicks A$$ and looks like fun wish I could have done that this weekend.
  16. -study- Thanks ORR99.5 for the link I read that thread after I posted mine. But the symptons are a little different. Mine will stay at zero while I am driving, then all of a sudden it jumps up to the speed I am going and works perfectly after that.. I kinda think it is loose behind the cluster. anything special I should know if i decide to take it apart??? besides be very careful.
  17. Ok people I performed a search which did not help much. My speedometer alot of the times will not work when the truck starts moving. Sometimes it does not work until I go kinda fast or sometimes like 50 feet from teh house? It stays buried at zero then all of a sudden it jumps up and starts working from there on. Kinda weird. Has anybody else had this type of speedo problem? I just wonder if it is behind the guage cluster or back behind the t-case? :help:
  18. Well good luck hope it is not anything to $$ it sounds to me like your timing has gone retarded.
  19. Thanks uncc. I think that is exactly what I am going to do now to find the time....
  20. I dig it vox!!! Pleas keep us updated on how it holds up to the weather and stuff!! I wanna do my bumpers in that stuff buut I wanna see how it hold up first!! I am sure the weather would not affect it on my bumpers but they are plastic so I am curious about adhesion.
  21. There is no doubt that if you plan on doing any real off-roading that you need a set of those sliderz but gees... $300 bucks?(after shipping) I understand they are necassary but I just can not spend that cash now that I have a family. Guess I will be finding someone to fab up some cheapo's for me later on.
  22. That is what I figured, now to just find out if it had keyless entry. Any suggestions Venge?
  23. Cool, I was thinking about somehow porting some kind of tubing from the grill to the box... Might be tough though. I'll check it out tomorrow.
  24. I am open to suggestions precise 1. How would I go about that?
