how would the snowboards clip down to the top piece. alirght ended up buying a yakima set of towers, do you think the 48inch crossbars would do or should i go bigger.. gonna go buy the locks new down at gi joes or something like that. so if i get a basket its not really nescarry to get a ski/snowboard rack is it.
-
thinking im getting a thule, off ebay, found all the parts on ebay and can do i t for like 150 so ima going that route, do you know if you can get a baket then but the ski/snowboards mounts on that, cause htat would be a pain to have to switch them out
-
lol

i kno its just the rails and i would need the cross bars. i was trying to find a cheaper alternative to the thule or yakima cause they ar eexpensive. and i dont have hte factory rails. i want a safari style rack and something that can carry snowboards/ skis.
-
yeah i was looking for a cheaper route than the standard yakima/thule cuase therer towers are like 200+ dollars, so i think im going to order a set of these today or tommorow
-
okay so i dont have a factory roof rack, and with winter coming i want something i can throw my snowboards up on top and not have to haul them in the vehicle. so i figure i could get some aftermarket rails. roof rails what do you guys think, as good as any or just crap

i went pacesetters. and i didnt even do the coated ones. jus the bare stock ones. shop i had do em did a real ****** job. i went with the dual oill relo, probably a mistake, didnt work out and leaked for some reason that i could not figure out, so now i just have the stock filter again. YAY! not.

havent been on here in awhile kinda been MIA. but thought that i would give you guys an update with what im going to do. im no longer selling the car, but instead of decided to but a jdm transmission in it and get it back on the road as i need a reliable driver. plus it will give me excuses to do more to the pathy. my biggest issue with the transmisiion was with labor but now that im in ellensburg (central area of washington) labor is cheap so for about 1500 dollars im gettin a transmission and having it put it. what a steal, anyway feels good to be back on here. kinda lookin at the l&p now with free shipping, ahhh im getting sucked in

okay so on saturday i started at about 8am on my BL that i got from AC. started by disconectin everything important. not much trouble there. Then i started to remove the bolts holding hte body to the frame, the back two were a pain in the a$$. Also i didnt have a problem with my sterring column. That all done jack the body up and i got the blocks in there no problem. screws o in flawlessly. I hit my first snag, i thouh they shipped me the wrong bolts and shorted my one, so after a trip down to ace hardware and back, as im walking up to the garage new bolt in hand i find my old one, i had set it on top of the car, when my friend stopped by to see how i was doing. anyway now that im done feeling like a moron. didnt have much problem getting the bolts in, including the two rear ones. ran into my first snag, radiator hoses, i trimmed the lower one and bought a flex hose for the top one, seemed to work pretty good til the radiator almost blew later that night. ( i poored the old fluid back in, i had no way of disposing of it, but now new stuff is in there.) no othersnas yet, aside from having to fix my ebrake cable it doesnt work, its to loose. anyway pic time and my falling off bumper....
