  1. yeah well at least you guys arnt running 2.94 gears like in my titan lol.
  2. terra grapplers in my opinion are POS. They dont last long, mileage wise and they get torn up offroad. I wouldnt ever buy them unless i had some denali or something with big wheels and wanted soemthing more agressive for just the street.
  3. concerning the BFG ATs i wouldnt leave them for the street. Whoever said they are getting old and outdated is true, i work at discount tire and i swear every bfg we spin on the balancer has a lot of tire movement when brand new. If you were just going into rocks and nothing muddy and sloppy id run them offroad. I run some 35x12.50R20s cooper discover STTs on my titan and they're great tires. The new KM2 is also a great tire, pretty soft compound and ive put about 12k miles on my 33x12.50R15s. Also the new wrangler MTR w/kevlar is a sick tire, way quiet. those who have run toyo mts and regular MTRs these new MTRs w/ kevlar are between those two tires as far as noise goes. They're great offroad too and clean very good, as do the STTs and KM2s. Just some input from me.
  4. Did I ever say I was having a hard time understanding how TB spacers theoretically work and what they do, no.. Its just a big waste of money and time and they do nothing on the nissan engines. Especially when you're running bigger tires, you wont feel a 5 hp increase...
  5. and? .... Its a big waste of 100 bucks.
  6. Yeah i also support the efan. If you can get a good reliable controller and good wiring and secure the fan to the radiator tight you should have no problems. Ive picked up so many maxima fans for under $30 bucks. Well worth the mod. Even on the VQs.
  7. I dont get how a throttle body spacer adds more air after the throttle body. It just makes the TB 1" longer essentially... Whats the big deal? Everyone with a non S/C non dohc VG just needs to accept the fact that they're screwed, its not a race car, especially when running larger then stock tires. Having a manual trans is a little bit better.. Get a VQ. with a manual, like my pathy and it rocks.
  8. ive had a set of 1" strut spacers sitting around forever.. no one seems to want them....hardware is less then 10 bucks.....
  9. i say just keep them.. its a strut, theres no visible damage, there couldnt have been any internal damage done to the strut because the strap got cut or whatever and went through a cardboard box. Now if the threads are all jacked up because the strut hit something because it was poking through the box..
  10. My second set of front shocks didnt really affect it, those shocks just allow me to handle pot holes and wash board roads a lot easier, it still sways just as much, they're a second set of shocks.. not springs.
  11. its probably scary for you because you dont have stiffer springs.. my pathy is perfect with no sway bars in the stiff springs and all that...
  12. what? i use 9/16s sockets and wrenches in place of 14mms... the shocks come with these little inserts that go into the heim joints at the end of the shocks that allow the use of a 14 mm bolt, when did these shocks on my xterra, i used those inserts on the bottom with the stock bolt and it was a perfect fit. should work on the top mount of the r50. Double shear the new bottom for added strength though.
  13. the top mount isnt an issue, its the axle side that is a welded stud to the axle with a nut that secures it, you'll have to that completely off, get a nut and bolt and double shear the lower shock mount...
  14. I wanna get the 7100s in the rear of mine..
  15. lol wow... anyways back to shocks, i actually wanna go with the king bypass shocks when i get my axle in the front, 4 link the rear and 3 link the front(with track bar) radius arms are cool but for some reason im not a big fan on just having 2 bolts hold my front axle in.. my friends dad has the fox shocks on his 04 dodge and for some reason his aluminum shock bodies are rusting.. so weird.. my 7100s are still in great shape. ive got so many damn tickets right now my license might get suspended for 2 months.. if that happens the r50 will get sasd. Its already all drawn out, i just cant afford the downtime unless im forced to. (no license) I just got back from st george on a wheeling trip and all i can say is i more travel in the front and lower tcase gears lol.
  16. idk maybe a couple of weeks, ive been busy with a tranny swap and dealing with some lame fab shops and i work tomorrow and the next day.. lol. I wanna sas but i love how my setup works currently. And i love how it rides, i might lose that ride quality when i go sas.
  17. your control arms will limit flex before your shocks top out and your coils fall out...Cool thing about bilsteins is they're fully rebuilable, adjustable, tuneable, i wouldnt run air shocks.. edit, i guess depending on what kind of suspension you have.. stock,2in lifted, sfd etc etc..
  18. damn thats pretty pricey, 600 for rear links..
  19. Ive got an extra plenum off my vg33 if you're interested.
  20. I have HIDs installed so what are you saying here? I got brighted with my silverstar ultras and get brighted with my HIDs but mine sits off the ground a lot higher then anyone else. But I do live in central utah, its either you have a pos car or a big lifted suv or truck. So everyone just gets used to brighter lights. If someone brights me i usually just flip off my headlights and run with my fogs til i pass them, my fogs are wired up to the parking lights.
  21. no it doesnt, its a lot harder to get on 3 wheels with an automatic. haha.
  22. oh set dude, im so glad ive got a manual tranny. no power valves.
