  1. Snap ring pliers....the way I do them is remove shock...14mm deepwell socket and wrench and a 17 mm socket for lower mount....thenbreak loose the 4 lower ball joint bolts...believe they r 14mm nut and 17mm bolt....remove 2...support with Jack there and remove the upper ball joint 12mm iirc....let me back up...this is after jacking the truck up and removing the tire and locking hub and retainer ring... If u have manual hubs before reomving those its nice to lock them and use a wrench on the flange bolts and turn the tire as a torque arm to break them loose before disassembling anything else... Once the knuckle is loose at top and lower bjs u can lift up with ure knees in a squatting position on the caliper and slide the splines out of the spindle and reinstall the opposite direction... This would be a good time to do ubjs and LBJ's BC the uppers have to have the Cv joint out of the way to use a pullet (used a tie rod puller from autozone that was like 12$) to press out the bj...also a good time to repack wheel bearings And check/replace oil and grease seals
  2. Its the same for a MT from 86.5-95 as an fyi
  3. Super 77 if u use sprat adhesive is all I can say....mean prank...spray it on someone's arm....don't rub t f it happens to u...get acetone or alcohol to clean it off
  4. I Dont believes atf goes in the tcase? Thought it was gear oil but I may be just ignorant to autos
  5. Itll be too late by then but its all good...I'm liking the tube bumpers more and more a d I really like the stinger, winch mount and the receiver as well
  6. if the frame measurements could be done front and rear that'd be extremely helpful and yes door measurements basically hinge to latch and door seal to latch vertically Thanks a bunch...don't make a special trip...I can be patient... B what about those ARB bumper pix
  7. i sprayed mine with black paint...and covered it at a later date...i liked it better painted black...
  8. anything from 84-95 is all that Trail Gear offers http://www.trail-gear.com/bumpers
  9. Alright...I've been tooling around without a front bumper for a while and i've twisted up my factory bumper which is 3" lower than it should be still from my 3" BL... So I've been searching around for a crawler project and ran across trail gear again but that's not what this topic is for...While on trail gear I found some of their bumpers and I'm curious if I can make them work on the nissan...so basically waht I need off of a 4runner or truck is some frame measurements... So I like this bumper and would like to see if i can make it work on the nissan: and the rear bumper: so basically if anyone can get frame inside to inside or outside to outside and measurements for locations of the front and rear bumper mounting that would help me out...particularly mounting surface to mounting surface so I know if it slides in between the frame or what so I can determine if and how i can mount it on the nissan door widths would be cool too: Thanks
  10. no removal of center console on MT...my resolution for now is a pillow case....my 4x4 boot was modified when i did my 3" BL and it allows all the heat in from the engine bay...not so bad in the winter but bad in the summer
  11. I paid 4500 for my 95 but green and grey interior to my cousin when she was in a tough spot...it basically had all the conditions u list...if it was anyone but my cousin I wouldn't have paid more than $3k for itand that was 4 years ago...
  12. a note...before reinstalling the oil pan pull the oil dip stick...if not it may not come out
  13. Eh...cut the guy a break...you ever go to that pull a part in columbia shooter? I used to go to the one in charlotte all the time but haven't shot down to columbia yet and was curious if htey keep it up like they do in charlotte...i'm gonna be looking for some odd's and ends before too long
  14. I'd try what B said...and be careful with that axle...it will give you stitches if you arent careful...i almost lost my pinky from a front axle falling on me after using pry bars and jacks for about an hour or so and the 1st time i grabbed it with my hand it fell and whap right on my finger...i've got pix posted somewhere of it
  15. I used one from Napa...I can take a pic of it tonight if I remember. But it was a standard spring compressor with the 2 jaws...it was tight but worked
  16. As u shift from 5 to 4 go towards 2 then back to 4th....I have to do that for 2nd but towards 4th then back to 2nd in the winter in my truck...
  17. I assume locker in rear..my next assumption is u r in 2 We so I'd check compression rod bushings
  18. Lol k9....I'm sure the coppers will tear it apart...best place to find stuff is down in the rear fendereells...way down in the bottom...since I cut mine I've found lots of stuff ranging from. Coins to golf balls and extra door covers
  19. I would suspect the temps to cause the gasket to burn up...if That's the case I would assume it would be able to see
  20. the drivers side wasnt all that much in place and thats how i found out it was toast...i was getting a clunking and then when i changed the compression rod bushings i noticed the tire was all out of place and at first thought my wheel bearings were toast but knew i wasnt hearing them....next place i looked was the UBJ...when i set the truck back down it popped back into the socket...drove it for like 30 more miles to get parts and to get to my buddies place and now she's happy
  21. well I replaced the compression rod bushings again and found my UBJ's are toast...so it doesnt look like i'll be going...i do want to go sometime soon tho
  22. if u fund it...gimmie 2 weeks and it'll happen...
  23. my problem right now is my clutch in 4 lo....she likes to slip....riding her to get her moving at 4k and she heats up and then just slips as all get out...but the power consumption reuqired to get up the rocks is much greater than full engagement of the clutch...thinking about shooting for a centerforce or something that has stronger forks and will let me torture her a lil.. my pipe dream is to stroke it...do a port and polish job and get one of htem programable ECU's to drive the beast...next in line is a VG33 with dash swap or a VG30DETT...all have provisions but no budget...
  24. looks like under drivers seat alarm system to me.....i know the TCU is in the right rear
