  1. Before spending all that money you might want to take a look at another topic... suspension lift ...some of the same things have been talked about, but there is a $ breakdown that might be on interest to your wallet Not exactly the same parts, but you'll probably get the idea
  2. Are you set on buying a suspension lift "kit"? If not you could go with Jeep Grand Cherokee coils for $20+ from a wrecking yard. Call up Rough Country and order some Upper Control Arms (same as Superlift units). Tell them that you need UCA for a “Hard Body” (they are the same as Pathfinder UCA’s). Those have been had for under $130. Here is a topic covering these UCA's Order the Shocks from A/C ($290 unless a better price can be found) and if you need or just want to replace the Torsion Bars ($190). Torsion Bars bace been talked about in the past and it's been recommened that yuo simply reindex your stock ones first. Then if that does not work (they are worn to much) buy replacements. So that puts you in the area of… $420 + the cost of the springs w/o the Torsion bars $610 + the cost of the springs with the Torsion bars That saves you around $200-$400 and you get better quality UCA’s Now you have money left over for a Body Lift, Rack, etc. Also, remember that you are going to need an alignment after the lift. Search around here some and you will find a lot of information covering these options Others will chime in on this, so wait and see what everyone suggests
  3. Nice.. what tires are those and where were you for those pics? *I did not realize that you were from WA*
  4. Did you not get my PM some time ago showing you exactly how the fields for a Poll should be filled out? If not let me know.... If 88's explanation did not help
  5. I think with a few modifications, that just may work
  6. Yes, congrats Agreed!... Come on LB, work with us here!
  7. Good idea, and one that came up on another board... Aaron? I am sure I can find something to dissagree with you about
  8. Your guess at the thickness is probably pretty close. When I mounted mine.. which is not a factory "Nissan" rack ...I used 8mm (iirc) bolts, nuts (2per bolt), lock washers and fender washers. It's very solid, you grab the bars and push/pull the whole truck moves with no independent movement of the rack. Don't recall the amount of space between but you should have plenty of room... I think 1/2-3/4 in most places, might be close.
  9. Damn!, Twice in one night, in the same tread and less than ten posts apart! wth!
  10. ummm.. no nevermind (better judgement took control) sly
  11. If the springs give you more lift that you want, you can cut them down to make them shorter. That will also drop the amount of lift they give.
  12. Steve, are those the "levers" that you were talking about?
  13. Yeah, maybe I should spray paint it! Ok ok, is this a "little" better?
  14. Below is a "not so great" pic of mine, I just went out and took a quick shot of it. I will try to get a better picture tomorrow, in the daylight.
  15. Yeah as Mr P said, reindexing and/or cranking the Torsion Bars would likely be the best place to start. After looking closely at other Pathfinders and Hardbody's I came to the conclusion that the front end of my Path has sagged enough to be noticeable... which I always suspected. My truck came with smaller tires and I put 31in BFG AT's on it like you did. I get a little rubbing at steering lock, but not a lot. If you are rubbing a bunch I would say that the front of your truck is well below stock and the torsion bars are in need of reindexing. But since yours is diesel and from another local, I may be wrong
  16. Yeah B good work definitely interested
  17. I have one a lot like that. It's been so long since I have needed to use it, I wonder if it still does work lol
