I don't have a 4dr so maybe it is something odd with them... but I also cannot think of any thing that whould or should be there that can prevent the carpet from coming up. Unless maybe the carpet it melted and stuck to the floor.

Well, if your O2 sensor(s) are bad replace it/them. That can cause more that just bad mileage if left unfixed

Pull the carpet up and take a look Have you taken it into an exhaust shop and had them look at it.. around here most will do that for free.

Good news that you have them balanced right now And Nissan may not be as much of an idiot as you suspect.... it's possible that a prior owner added the LSD

Hmm I did not note the year of your rig, if 93's have a check engine light (which iirc all VG30E's do) then it should trip the light afaik.

Yes they will...at least in steering I have the stock steel rims and my truck came with the 29's, I put 31's on and they rub just before steering lock (both directions)

Did you pull the codes from the ECU before clearing it? It will show a trouble code if the O2 is bad (bad enough to trip the code anyway) Did you inspect that vacuum line for damage? even a pin hole can mess things up.

"Catches"? What exactly does that me? Is it like the tire is rubbing on something? Based on the picture in your profile it looks like the tread lugs on your tires might be big enough that they will grab when the tire rubs. Mine does that, they rub the bottom of my idler arm (and the IA Brace I installed) each lug will "catch as it rotates. Honestly it is not that big of a deal, just don't turn all the way to lock (until the steering wheel will turn no more) and you will be fine. Or alternately, you can adjust the steering stops to prevent it from rubbing.

It snows, then freezes, then snows again and freezes the new fall on top of the prior layer... that often results in a rough frozen surface.... which gives more traction than the first layer or a smooth sheet of ice does

Good job... That was exactly what I planned on doing when I first bought my Pathy... but I could not find a rack for a reasonable price locally. And at the time the ebay prices were WAY high (not sure about now) I finally gave up and modified an S10 Blazer rack to fit, because I had to have the ability of carrying tall ladders at work

First thing, I have to agree... if there is NO traction, 4WD is going to result in 4 Wheels slipping.. not gripping, remember there is NO traction That is not entirely true and does not apply to 4WD's the same way it does to FWD's Front Wheel Drives handle better because they are pulling the rear through the corners and not pushing the front through them. So the back of the vehicle is less prone to slide out and around you. 4WD's are still pushing from the rear... even with the front pulling. When in a corner that "push" occurring in the rear, is more likely to cause the rear to swing out... and around. If that happens and you are in 4WD then the front can help to correct it, assuming TWO things. 1: There is enough traction for the front to counter the rear. AND 2: The driver has enough skill to control the vehicle and properly guide it out of the slide

Yep, you can take it out, take it apart and tweak it possibly as a temp fix... but ultimately you will need to replace it.

Call around to other dealerships (if local). As with parts, I have found that service prices can differ (sometimes greatly) from one dealer to another

Check for loose or damaged vacuum lines. The smell would be a bad Cat Converter... which could have been caused by an O2 that has been bad for a while... either way, replace both. (would be a good time to replace the muffler as well)

I tried the Beldens from Napa a while back and ended up returning them because they kept working their way off of the distributor cap Went back to my old wires and have yet to buy another replacement set... really need to though.
