  1. You mean there was a time when they used to?
  2. Found more pics and info! CLICK! It's a shame that he has to let it go, but it looks like some of you guys circling like vultures are already going in for the kill as he starts to part it out! I know I would be very sad if I ever had to let mine go due to similar circumstances.
  3. Wow, it's definitely equipped, that's for sure! Dual lockers! Whoa. Where are his wheeling pics?! I wonder why he's never participated in the forums. I'm also curious to see why it's for sale... From the photos, it looks like it's pretty much a trail rig that can be driven daily, but it's really lost its usefulness as a true SUV. The compressor and air tank seem to entirely occupy the rear passenger compartment. Also, I don't see the rear seats or any carpeting. The air tank really takes away from the "utility" part of its SUV classification. So, to be candid, I'm not really surprised that it didn't go higher than $5100. It's only going to appeal to a very select group of buyers. As an aside though, the pic below, part of which I grabbed from the auction listing, gives a good representation of the MASSIVE amount of rear departure angle I got with my new rear bumper!
  4. Did this happen all of a sudden, or did you notice problems with drivability before this? If the engine doesn't give any signs that it's about to die before it quits (i.e. no rough idling, misfiring, lack of power, etc.), then it's possible that the engine coolant temperature sensor may be bad. High ECT values will trigger the PCM to shut off the engine. If the sensor is sending a voltage that's too high , the PCM will think the engine is overheating and will shut it down. You may not trip a check-engine light if the ECT sensor's voltage is high, but not out of spec. Check the resistance of the ECT sensor to see if it's bad (or if you have an OBDII scan tool, such as the Scan-Gauge, it can show the ECT.) Refer to page 116 for details.
  5. Tip: Instead of placing a rag between the hi-lift and door, just open it and operate the jack with the door still open.
  6. You might find this information quite useful: http://www.offroaders.com/info/tech-corner/reading/swr.htm
  7. It's where the clutch cylinder attaches to the firewall. If you have an auto tranny, the clutch cylinder hole is covered by a black diamond-shaped metal plate secured by 2 12mm nuts. Looking at the brake booster from the driver's side fender, it's below and to the right of it. To run power cables through here, you'll also need to partially remove the bracket securing the transmission control module under the dash. I'm running a lot of wires through this opening, so I actually had to grind away a fairly large (1/2" radius) half-circle from the side of the diamond-shaped plate.
  8. On my AT Pathy, before I discovered the hole through which the clutch cylinder mounts on a MT, I was using the grommet through which the hood-release cable passes. It's a bit harder to get to, but it's quite easy to access if you remove the rear plastic linder from the front left wheel well. (Removal of the rear plastic liner may require removal of the mudflap.) My recommendation would be to run a single fused, heavy-gauge [6AWG] wire from the battery through this hole (if it will fit) and to a fuse block under the dash. In that way, you can use this power source for any future electrical upgrades.
  9. Check your cigarette lighter fuse. The cigarette lighter is only live when the ignition switch is in ACC or ON.
  10. Yes, that's correct. BTW, Pezzy- I have the Cobra CB you linked to. It's the only unit that I felt was small enough to fit in the Pathy without being hard-to-see, hard-to-access, or getting in the way. An older pic:
  11. Why do you want a CB radio?
  12. Yeah, I really like the Armorology designs. Road Armor also makes cool stuff. One thing about Armorology though is that I read they only build bumper on the actual trucks. I don't know if they make a jig to do multiple pieces. Contact them to see if they do.
  13. The bumper mounting points for all years 96-04 are the same. The main difference between the 96-99 and the 99.5-04 is the position of the grille. The newer models have a grille that sticks further forward than the older models. So, you could use an ARB bumper on an older model, but there would be a gap between the grille and the top surface of the bumper. Or, you could use an aftermarket bumper designed for the older models on a newer one, but there may be clearance issues between the hood/grille and the bumper. Pezzy, who has a TJM bumper on a 99.5-04, had to grind off the CB antenna tab to fit it. The winch clutch lever is also inacessible from the top.
  14. Yes. You need a 9004 HID conversion kit. Search google for "9004 hid kit"
  15. Probably something to do with insufficient funds perhaps?
  16. Looks very nice, if you're an Xterra or Frontier owner...
  17. She might be interested in it only if she could do the "flower mod" to it. It needs some dressing up! And really, it's the only Pathy I know of that would look better with flowers growing out of the engine bay than the way it looks now.
  18. Hey Max, My wife wants to know if your truck is for sale. She thinks it would make a great addition to her garden, like this one she saw in the paper this morning.
  19. No. I sold it to a guy on XOC for $100.
  20. Wow, you guys who got in on the Mazda group buy for the SGII got a great deal! It's down to $139.95!
  21. I'll talk to the fabricator who built my rear bumper and see if he's interested in building a TJM knock-off for y'all whose orders got cancelled.
