  1. FWIW, it's pretty straightforward to install the camber bolts yourself. They basically only go in facing one way or the other.

  4. Your options are limited to suspension lifts only. The unibody Pathfinder cannot use body lifts (since there's no "body" which is separate from the frame"). Depending on how much lift you want, you have several options, in order of least to most expensive. Spacer lift (.5"-2") Coil spring lift (1.0"-2.5") Subframe drop (4") Subframe drop combined with coil spring lift (4"-6") What are your goals for lifting? Looks only? Off-road performance? Want to fit larger tires? The lift you choose is a function of how you plan to use the vehicle.
  5. If you're not getting power to the head unit, that issue is unrelated to the presence/absence of an amp, which is wired AFTER the head unit to the speaker outputs. If you don't have a BOSE amp, then the amp is built into the head unit. You'll have to check the power wires at the radio harness and the fuse terminals for power.

  8. Run minimum 32psi on your tires, depending on their size and type (load range). [Ex: I run 42psi Front /38psi Rear on my load-range E BFG MT tires.] Replace air filter, change the oil, check spark plugs. Drive no faster than 70. Use cruise control. Avoid fast starts and sudden stops. Anticipate road conditions and coast (release accelerator) as long as possible before braking.
  9. The question about the 8° angled strut spacers centers around a 4" or higher SFD, not the use of 2" spacers, with or without a SFD. Assuming the strut would even properly line up to be bolted in place, installing 4" long simple strut spacers that do not have the 8° angle will relocate the new upper mount too far forward and too far outboard to provide enough adjustment for camber bolts, and may reduce the caster angle excessively.
  10. Yes, otherwise the front geometry will be messed up. The upper strut mount is not level.With non-angled strut spacers, the strut might not even bolt up properly. Even if it did, your camber and caster will be way out of spec. This is why it is often difficult to get the camber back close to spec when using 2" spacers.
  11. I am assuming that the new alternator tested good, and that you reattached the alternator cable and the voltage regulator connector properly. When you say "after 3 days", does that mean you've been driving it like that for 3 days? In those 3 days, how many miles have you driven, how much have you used electrical accessories (headlights, heater, radio, etc.), and how many engine starts have happened in those three days? Use a voltmeter to check the alternator output. With the engine running, check the voltage on the battery terminals. It should be at least 13.8. If not, then the alternator is not charging the battery. You may have a faulty cable or a bad connection between the alternator and the fuse block. Check for continuity (and resistance) between the alternator terminal and the fuse block where the alternator cable attaches. (On my Pathfinder, the alternator attaches to a threaded terminal (12mm nut) on the inboard side of the relay box behind the battery.) You may also want to check for continuity (and resistance) between that terminal and the battery positive terminal. Did you confirm that the alternator fusible link in the relay box is good?

  15. I believe you are referring to what we call the "subframe".   16. I have everything for a 4" lift sitting in a box in my garage, except for the rear springs and shocks. I haven't ordered those yet.
  17. To y'all with SFD blocks, how did you finish the bare metal? Etch/prime/paint or powdercoat the parts? Pros/cons to each? Would you do it differently if you had to do it again? Why or why not? Thanks!
  18. The pop charger is not compatible with a snorkel unless you figure out some way to make an enclosure for the pop charger.
  19. Based on visiting BullyDog's website, it looks like it only works on domestic vehicles, not imports. Do you want performance mods or fuel-economy mods? If you're looking for performance, you can get a JWT Pop Charger and a performance muffler/exhaust. Beyond that, there are not many economical upgrades to improve 3.3L performance. If you're looking for fuel economy improvements, reduce drag wherever possible, reduce weight, increase tire pressure, and take it easy on the gas pedal. Keep this in mind: pressing the gas pedal basically converts gasoline into hot brakes. The more you can anticipate the need to slow down, the earlier you can coast, saving gas.
