  1. On my old Pathy, I just relaced the stock 1156 socket with a 1157 socket to hold an 1157 bulb (dual filament). Ran the stock wires up to it and done. There are other ways of doing it to (search on the other Nissan boards). I just used my dremmel to make the hole for the socket a little larger to fit the 1157 socket in. Now people can see my signals flashing from the side like most newer vehicles do.
  2. Must be because I just woke up...groogy head Not sure what you mean by "if you drive on the highway"
  3. When I had 31"s and 33"'s both on 15x8, I'd go as low as 8-10psi if the trails were funky enough. If things weren't to bad, the average was right around 18-20psi. Winter runs have to be careful as ice tends to start the leaks so depending on the trail, you'd find yourself airing up pretty quickly. With my 35"s on 15x10, I just air down to around 20psi average. It really depends on what type of trails and the conditions of the trails and how you drive.
  4. As said by jj, since you are planning to trade it in, look for a used engine. See if you can find one locally. Check out the local papers and see if anyone is parting out a Pathy. Even some junkyards have engines they have pulled that would work. This would get you moving again for quite a bit less $$$.
  5. That's close to a Jackpot! We rarely get in Pathys and HB's, so when they do come in, it's a fight to who can get there first. :o
  6. Hey Lowrider... Nice to see you over here.
  7. That is great! Wish my alt was that high up!
  8. Just a note, the DRLs are a lower power off of the High beam, not the low beams on the Pathys. (Makes for interesting effects when you wire pencil beams to only come on when you flick your headlight switch to high beams! :o )

    beep, beep

To get rid of the 'beep-beep' sound, I went to the junkers and replaced my horns with dual Cadillac horns. Not as good as an air horn, but defintely gets the 'other' drivers attention!

You should be able to find two horns (at least on my '90 I have two) behind your front bumper just below the headlights (I don't have a stock bumper anymore so I can't be exact, but they should be right behind it or very close to it).
  11. Does it happen once the engine temp gets to 'normal'? A bad 02 sensor sometimes won't throw a code.
  12. As stated, you can replace it if you like. Otherwise just keep an eye on it and make sure there is some grease in there. I always pump new grease in mine after every run to get the water out so if I tear them I don't worry. I only replace them when the rubber looks really mangled.
  13. I leave them on but I don't secure them at the bottom. This is so I can get some drainage out of them. I ususally have to pull them up to get all the crap out. That's why alot of people don't use them, but I figured they at least do something in our climate if I remember to clean them out after each run.
  14. Yes, generally SE's will have 4wheel discs while XE's are disc front, drum rear. Now, that of course isn't in stone as depending on options etc at the time of purchase, XE's can have 4wheel disc, lsd, power, etc, etc, etc.
  15. It does seem rather high...maybe they are doing more like turning the rotors, etc. As said above, it's a pretty straight forward swap. You could always pick up the calipers yourself and take it to an independent mechanic for the work. Or at least get another estimate.
  16. Iv'e read a few posts on other boards that it's a recall....I haven't asked yet up here but as abomb1 said, I believe most people have them replaced for free. I think an oldy like my '90 they would say no...? So I just continually slam them in the door.
  17. More commonly you will drown the engine before the ECU. You don't have to be in deep water to take in water. A big splash, a funny bow wave rolling back at you, etc. etc. Alot of engine drowning occur when you first nose down into a creek or river. Front end dips, then it's over. The intake is right behind the drivers side headlight.
  18. Trying to survive! I worked at the Guelph Hyundai Car dealership. Drove the Shuttle van, worked the Parts counter and also did parts pickups and deliverys. This was way back in 1990-1993! darn, I feel old now. We go back every other year as my wifes family is in Ontario.
  19. Dealer item. It's behind your instrument gauge cluster. There are some posts here with detailed instructions on how to replace it. It's a very easy job to do - simple do it yourself type of work.
  20. Hello from Alberta. Lived in Guelph for a few years.
  21. Not sure if this applies to the '90 and newer Pathys, but on my friends '87, he had another fuseable link that was hidden under the battery tray. He kept saying the fusealbe link (the one he only saw) was good. It wasn't until we saw the other hidden one with a flashlight. Though you say you get headlights so...??
  22. Hi Slick, Cranking the t-bars will raise the front end (if you want more info on this a quick search will provide more in depth information) and some notice a stiffer ride and others don't. Personally I'd leave the T-bars alone unless you are experiencing rubbing or you are nose down in appearance and want to level it out.
