If it were me I'd change it. It's definitely more robust than a regular belt, but at the end of the day it's a 22 year old piece of rubber, I wouldn't trust it for much longer. You certainly wouldn't trust 22 year old tires!

My original post says you can use the rear studs up front. If you're doing wide spacers (1/2"-up), you don't need or want longer studs. Longer studs are desirable for short spacers, like 1/4".

Haha, In stock form, these things can definitely get you out of trouble. That’s the best way to learn what your truck needs. Yea, once things cool down, I’m up for a SoCal meet. I’m mostly building mine up for family camping, so not trying to go rock crawling or anything extreme.

For what it’s worth, while ours is going strong a friend has had some issues with the adhesive. I rewired ours this weekend & incorporated another LED strip (11” 6000K) under the front radiator cowl in order to illuminate the winch controls. I really like how it turned out. A fun side effect of the hood lights is that they turn on when you pop the latch- consequently at night they let you know the hood isn’t latched & show you the outlines if the hood to open it. I tried to take a photo but it’s not very good.

A visual inspection would not be a bad idea. Look for cracking on the back of the belt and evidence of oil or coolant leaks from the cam/crank seals and water pump. The spec in the manual is around 105k IIRC. I haven't found an age limit from Nissan, but seven years sounds reasonable. Yours is old enough to buy beer. Good luck!
