Well, looks like we're fast approaching September... The bad news is that early/mid August goal didn't happen. The good news, though, is that the conversion of garage to shop is progressing well. I added several new circuits the other week, finished installing an air compressor and lines (I #@$%^& hate pneumatics) this week, and finally put the plasma table through its first cycle (no cutting, though) the other night. The heat in the garage has became too unbearable, so I dropped some coin for a mini-split AC, which I'll be installing this weekend. Then, lastly (ugh, I hope), I'll put in a fume extraction/ventilation system. I can't explain the anxiety I've had from having to drill so many holes into the outside of my stucco house. The grand finale will be a 6" one...still building up courage for that one. Bottom line is that I'm getting there! I hit up the steel shop the other week to grab various plate scraps for some initial cuts once things are ready. I've not looked into any actual material costs yet, though, so will still need to come up with pricing numbers for those interested. As before, stay tuned. This is gonna happen.

Sometimes I can stand it, but for this particular project, I’ve basically been in my garage almost daily for the past couple weeks, sweating it out. But, it would be another layer of hell cutting parts with the garage door closed without AC.

So I was coming off the highway and went to make a right turn hit the peddle and it decided to act like it was in neutral. Shifted into 1st had acceleration Shift into 2nd still going Shift into D it would carry on Come to a stop had to repeat R works fine as well. (Radiator is bypassed from transcooler, and trans fluid does not smell burnt) Any insight to what could be causing this is greatly appreciated

Hi guys! Let me share a little bit of my experience with the R50. Familiarity with this model I had 3 years ago, then it was a Nissan Terrano (VG33). After a short drive I decided to modify it, install hubs, SFD 5", steel protection 5 mm, wheel 33*12,5*15 ET -25. What happened in the end. I drove it for 2.5 years and sold it and took a Nissan Pathfinder (VQ35). Having left winter and with approach of heat I undertook completion of the car. Was installed SMD 6", custom rear springs, 52 cm wheel 32*11,5*15 ET -28 steel protection 5 mm converted front shocks to portable, to install cartridges.

Nice work. Im interested in your front shocks. What do you mean "portable"? Do they have increased travel or just better performance?

I'd throw a new water pump on there.

It's in progress, I guess I'd say. My plasma table is here and assembled, and early (maybe mid) August still seems reasonable to have the shop ready.

Did a check of the new rear end hardware. Passenger side adjustable trailing arm needed tightening. I also want to lengthen my bump stops to keep the tires from tucking too much. There is a little bit of noise that was present before the lift, assuming its U-joints but not sure, but its a mild throttle on/off related clunk. Pinion angle is good so I dont think its the rear end but I cant rule that out. Other than that so far so good with the new 6" setup.
