  2. New front end stuff is in place now. Just needs an alignment. Also bolted the bumper on, but no brackets yet. Tomorrow it’s going to be brakes and rear end links after work, and then the next day hopefully get the fluids done. Some pics. My dads WD21 was keeping an eye on my six lmao

  4. Good job! I am going to have to do this on my drivers door again to my 88. Seems the aftermarket pins did not last as long as the factory ones..

  5. Hey guys just joined npora happy to be here got my pathfinder on October 2019. I’ve always loved Nissan and this is my second 4x4 Nissan. It’s been fun to research the parts I need to modify this thing. I’ve been working professionally in the automotive industry for close to ten years and I am a master tech so I know my way around a car. Let me know if you have any general questions. I’d be happy to help out. i already have 2”AC coil springs up front stock KYB struts and shocks from previous owner. I have LR 9449 coil springs in the rear. The wheels are trail master TM5-5883 3.75 backspacing 15x8 lug pattern 6x5.5. Those are wrapped in falken AT3 wildpeak 32x11.5R15. Has to do some trimming to fit them in there but wasn’t too much. Pic below is the first real time I took it off road

  6. The 97 SE models should have been equipped with 265/70R15 tires on 6-spoke aluminum alloy wheels. If you have chrome wheels and 235s you may not have an SE. You may have an XE. Check a couple of things: what is the tire size on the door jamb? look on the vin placard on the firewall near the windshield wiper motor and check for an axle code HG46 or HG43. HG46 is 4.636:1 final drive ratio and HG43 is 4.363:1 ratio. 97 Pathfinders equipped from the factory with 235 series tires (usually XE and LE) have 4.363 gears They also have a steering rack with a little more throw than models equipped with 265 series tires (usually SE).

  9. Got everything set and ready to go today. Started her up and she didn’t start first time. Rotated the distributor cap a little and she started but ran extremely rough and stalled out pretty quick. I continued playing with the distributor position trying to find a steady idle which didn’t happen today. Until tomorrow! Oh and I found another coolant leak, but I’m hoping it’s from the thermostat housing this time so I can get in there easily... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Replaced TPS with a brand new OEM part. My trans kept locking/unlocking so I would jam the gas peddle a bunch of times as quickly as I could, then it’d stop for a few months. One time I cut the car off out of anger and jammed the gas peddle a bunch. I had been thinking that jamming the gas peddle at the time the issue was occurring was what would make it go away. So I started it back up but the issue was gone. It returned in a month or so just like it had been and then I thought that maybe the TPS wiper had a build up of copper particles on it causing intermittent signals to lock/unlock the torque converter. I figure over time the contacts have been worn down by the wiper or the wiper itself is worn down and the particles are building up along the path of the wiper, specifically the contact area where the throttle stays in most often which would be highway cruising. The only thing that could possibly have anything to do with the transmission by hitting the gas peddle with the car off is that TPS! Right off the bat the 1 to 2 shift is very noticeably softer.. and the 2 to 3 shift seems to be faster at low acceleration. That TPS may have been bad for some time. Of course my other transmission didn’t have a single issue whatsoever with this same TPS. Update: The improvements listed above are definitely there. I also notice that it no longer stays in 3rd gear when taking off from a rolling stop which would cause very poor acceleration. In general, the vehicle drives much better. I am still a little slow taking off from red lights and such compared to newer cars around me but there are a lot of instances where I have the power I need to drive normally with traffic because the transmission selects the correct gear for acceleration. A heap of confidence has returned!

  14. Welcome to NPORA This site is intended to help Pathfinder (and Terrano, Sani) owners around the world and our forums are open to anyone, but we have certain guidelines that you must adhere to or your privilages here will be revoked. We have Moderators who are constantly reviewing all posts to make sure that they are appropriate and they are authorized to remove posts, warn, and even ban those that refuse to honor our house rules. 1. Treat others with respect. Do not verbally abuse or attack any user on this forum. That includes belittling a person for asking a question that you consider too simple. We have users at all skill levels here and there is no such thing as a dumb question. 2. No profanity or explicit submissions. Do not attach inappropriate photos to any posts or profiles. This will result in warning and possible banning from site. There is a bad word filter in place that will take care of most inappropriate words. 3. Be careful with humor. Everyone likes a good joke, but on a forum it can be taken differently than it was intended, especially since we have members from all around the world. Often, humor does not translate well from one country to another. We have seen this where members from one country continuously tried to use sarcasm to joke and ended up having half of the members online turning on them. It can get ugly quick, so be careful... 4. If you do not know the answer, you don't have to answer. There is no shame in not knowing an answer, but if you misinform people it can hurt us all. 5. Do not post similar topics. For the sake of keeping it easy to navigate you are asked not to create a new post that is very similar to an existing one. Instead, you can reply to that thread IF you have something NEW to add. 6. Do not use this site to promote your own business or Website without the permission of an administrator, this will include links to external sites attempting to sell products and/or services to other forum members. No spam! 7. Respect the authority of all forum officials! If you have a legitimate issue with any Moderator, you are encouraged to contact an Administrator. This site has PM capabilities and you can send any member a private message. If there is a disagreement, we would much rather have you discuss it using PM and not airing it publicly on the forums for everyone to see. This is a non-commercial site and it is privately maintained and financed. It is here to help the Pathfinder community and for no other reason. Help us to make sure that it remains a fun and informative place for us all to enjoy. ADDENDUM 1: 1.1 - Please keep in mind that we have many users from many different walks of life, and conflicting viewpoints will occur. Treat each other with respect and courtesy, and there won't be any problems. 1.2 - No flaming! Flaming is the act of sending or posting messages that are deliberately hostile and insulting, usually in the social context of a discussion board on the Internet. 1.3 - Please try to use complete, coherent sentences in your posts. Syntactically correct posts are easier to read and comprehend. If you have recieved a warning, and are unclear as to why, politely PM a moderator or Administrator and we will explain it the best we can. 1.6 - If you have a problem with another user, keep it off the forums. If you bring it to the forums, not only will your posts be deleted, you will likely receive a warning. (Exception: Poor seller with no contact, posting in the classifieds as a LAST resort.) 1.7 - Please refrain from religious and overly political subject matter. 1.8 - Please do not fuel-the-fire if you are engaging in a debate/discussion by throwing your $0.03 (inflation ) in without anything to back up your arguments, or to, directly or indirectly, insult or demean another member of the site in any way. ADDENDUM 2: 2.1 - Please fill out the details in your user profile. It not only makes you seem like a real person with real knowledge and problems, it helps the other members on the forum help you.
