Guy's I have a tiny hole (93 Pathfinder) (size of a match head) in my passenger side headlight. Auto parts store wants around $70 dollars for a new one. My question is, do I replace the original glass lens or are there aftermarket options that may be better?

Thanks for the input~

There are Clear plastic ones on ebay, they look good and they cast allot of light down the road. I also found that they seem a bit scattered above the cutoff area. I painted the border of the lenses to help remedy this but really, unless you aim them low, their weakness will be a little bit much upward light when its foggy.

other than that I really liked them. If you really want the best light pattern possible convert to the HB square beams and run CIBE conversion headlights in them.

Also with square beams(future upgrade) you can run the Pegasus Hid that the MR2 crowd likes. No Hi-Beam the the driving light has a very bright but soft even pattern with a clearly defined sharp cutoff.

eBay usually has plastic replacements sets, but there is always junkyard scavenging and part outs (for sale section here, craigslist, etc) to find an inexpensive pre-owned. As MY1PATH said the HardBody D21 front end swap offers more upgrade choices as well

What it's worth I'm sure there's quite a few trucks around here with tiny holes in their headlights and they work fine as well.

Mine had one of these when I got it. I patched it with a little two-part epoxy, left it for a while, and eventually swapped it for an intact light from a hardbody at the junkyard... IIRC it was around $30 and I got a working bulb with it.

Never had a bulb explode, though. Halogen?

Ya I came across your projector conversion but I think I am going to stick with the stock lens for now. If it were my car I would be all about some custom work for part that is not available but I would rather the truck to look semi stock for now. I am no stranger to custom touches, here is my 97 2 door Neon that sits in the garage. She is my other expensive toy.

I'm not a huge fan of new aftermarket lights, so I just went to my local pick n pull and found the best OEM light I could.

Agree, it just depends on the vehicle and what look you are going for.
