There are so many great step by step how-to's around the forum I was hoping for something along those lines. My mom could have done a timing belt with one of the great threads here! Check them together; There's places where it's word for word. Why pay $12 for the watered-down version when you can get the real stuff for free? Far as I know you can't get an 88 fsm for free I agree though fsms are much more detailed when it comes to specs, tolerances, and procedures. Seriously, I have one of each (Hayes from when I bought my first pathy, FSM found here for free and a Chiltons that came with my second pathy) and cross reference them often.
