BonnerBB
What tie rod ends would you buy? I am doing inner and outer... Everyone has a CHEAP housebrand... I was told just to get one with a Lifetime Warranty and I should be good. Do you agree? I am pairing them up with a HooHaa centerlink that I just got in the mail. This is a trail rig that I daily drive just to keep the miles off my new car. I have beeno told that MOOG are the best but are 3 times as much as the autozones house brand that also have a lifetime warranty. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Here are the prices and brand options of the three competing auto parts stores on my block. http://www.oreillyauto.com/EW3/DisplayTheP...cycleCount=1077 http://www.autozone.com/selectedZip,77084/...g/selectZip.htm http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/ProductLi...=80&PTSet=A
Mookie
When I was IFS, the Moog components bent worse than stock. Even with warranty, it was a pain to keep replacing them. Now, if the house brand sucks...
GrimGreg
Yeah, Moog quality isn't what it used to be. That said, some "house brands" are Moog, some are OEM, and some are super crap. I would ask the sales person to bring you all the ones they carry and compare them at the counter.

In case anyone cares - I went with the housebrand Autozone house brand tie rods... they were half the cost of the MOOGS...

adamzan
I have the Moog inner tie rods and center link. They have held up to my youngin driving style so far
88pathoffroad
I've tried both kinds. They both suck. I think a better fix would be to take in your knuckles and centerlink and have them reamed to fit something more common and beefy like Chevy or Ford tie rods, whichever comes closer to stock size. I know that moves the steering weakness to the next weakest part, but after repeatedly hammering tie rods straight on a rock on the side of a trail it might be worth it. If the house brand has a warranty, KEEP THE PAPERWORK and trade 'em in when they get slopped out.
