Yeah we'll get together soon and we should do your CV's at the same time lol.

I just need to get my hands on a wiring harness and the plugs for the back of the spotties which i can't seem to get easily. I went into Coventrys and they have a male and female kit, but i only need the female so i don't know what I'm supposed to do because I would need two kits then at $28 each then a wiring harness for a further $70.

Once I sort out the plugs I'll look at Jaycar and see how much it would be to make up a harness myself instead of buying a kit.

/End whinging poor student.

We are already limited to 50mm over here. Cyril PM'd me the other day, looks like it will be too late for him to have the Terrano passed before the laws change, is going to have to have it passed on 31's, original rear springs & t-bars let out a little. It definitely sux, but at least over here we dont have to go through annual inspections, where Cyril will being in NSW, they are mandatory for rego.

Thanks for the invite to Perth boys , :aok:

The laws are an proposal at the moment but the engineers are under that law allready which sucks and their booked out till the end of the month as everyone is trying to push thier mods through , so will have to at the moment engineer it with standard trim height which thier are no records before 97models . the max height is to 50mm total ( suspension , body and tyres combined ) . So will have to lower the suspension as the body lift will be my 50mm and run with the 31 x10.5 x 15 as these were an option for the Pathy . But at least the beast will be on the road again and back to beach fishing , and hopefully the laws will change and this proposal will not be passed and then it will be re-tested and passed with 2'' suspension and 33'' s . But at least it lives again . YEH .

Got the high lift and the snatch strap and have started to build a high lift carrier for the rear swing carrier out of tube .

This is good news

NSW MINISTER FOR ROADS

MICHAEL DALEY MP

NEWS RELEASE

MINISTER AGREES TO FURTHER CONSULTATION ON

CAR MODIFICATION LAWS

Wednesday 29 July 2009

Minister for Roads Michael Daley today met with representatives from the 4WD community and car industry who asked for the introduction of proposed vehicle modification rules to be delayed and for more time to consult.

Mr Daley said he agreed to put the rule changes on hold and that more consultation was needed following the meeting.

“I’ve listened to feedback from the industry and the community, and have agreed to set up a working party to look more closely at how we are going to address this road safety issue,” he said.

“All of those who attended today’s meeting agreed that safety is paramount and that unsafe modifications of vehicles do need be stamped out.

“The working group will include representatives from the NSW Centre for Road Safety, Four Wheel Drive NSW-ACT, Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association, the Australian 4WD Industry Council as well as other agencies and experts,” Mr Daley said.

Executive Director of Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association Stuart Charity said this was a terrific outcome.

“We’re passionate about road safety and we understand the intent of the regulation is to make the roads safer,” he said.

We’re looking forward to working towards a practical solution that meets road safety objectives while also taking industry views into account,” Mr Charity said.

Greg Redfern from Four Wheel Drive NSW-ACT also welcomed the outcome and said the working group would have their full support.

“We want to eliminate unsafe practices in the driving community and we’ll work with the government to make sure these new regulations meet those objectives without any adverse consequences for the motoring community at large,” he said.

“We all agree that there is no place for extreme and illegal modifications, but the clubs in our association follow a strict code of conduct and ethics, and we want to make sure they’re not punished,” Mr Redfern said.
