  1. Ok, all shocks are in, new coils, not so much... I bought coil compressors and they worked ok on the old ones but on the new springs they have started to strip the thread because the coil is so tough. I can't get the axle to droop any more either, how do other people get the coil in?
  2. Hey guys, haven't been on here for ages hey... I've been really busy with uni exams, then a huge week on the piss, then the last two weeks on a mine. I am finally on break. I was considering putting in my suspension lift this Saturday, I'll probably have a mate over aswell but we both don't really know what we are doing. If someone on here is free to lend a hand on Saturday that would be awesome, there'll probably be a carton in it for you too...
  3. Nice try Matt trying to get rid of excess tyres sitting around. He told me that he had a spare 32" for me to use, turns out it was a 33" so the joke was on me.
  4. Haha I did that on purpose for a bit of comic relief because I could tell that Dan was getting a bit sad about getting stuck with his shiny new muddies. Was a good quick run, thanks guys. Can't wait to see these videos.
  5. I haven't been around here recently, better get in before I'm left out Cyril, I reckon the diesel goes alright on the beach, of course i always want more power, but I haven't found and flat section that I couldn't get through yet... Dunes on the other hand.. Matt, you need a break, rent a 4by and get away for a while. Dave, how's the intercooler install going?
  6. Looks awesome mate! I know it's probably pushing it, but what about a non-winch option, because I can't see myself getting a winch any time soon...
  7. I've got the pods mate. You can have them for free after all the help with the body lift.
  8. Just found this Dave: http://www.exploroz.com/Forum/Topic/29080/...el_Engines.aspx May want to re-think doing the catch-can.
  9. Good to see your getting so much done so easily Matt. I'll PM you my number now. Dave, the SAAS hood scoops at work look pretty good considering the price is only about $20, so who cares even if it does break. There's also a universal catch-can setup for $50 which has a nice chrome can and all the tubing, would make your job a bit easier.
  10. Hahahaha first time ever not having a hang-over Thanks heaps boys for all the help with the lift! We did forget to bolt the PS reservoir back down though.
  11. Ha! Where's the commitment man! I decided not to go out tonight so that I will be fresh for Saturday!
  12. Haha good luck making a nuisance of yourself, I'll put you to work on mine straight away!
  13. Haha you're running out of time to make up your mind...
  14. I bought the bolts for my body lift today. They tried to charge me $47 for the same ones as Matt, so I told them that was a rip-off and got them for Matt's price
  15. I can get there as early as you want mate, then we can start pulling bolts out before Dave gets there.
  16. That's devastating Matt, that's the fun of an old car hey. Sounds good Dave.
  17. You think it will be ready by Saturday?
  18. I'm thinking about heading down for a day, might spend the night if I have time, make a trip of it with a few mates. I haven't really looked at the bonnet scoops mate, I don't think they'd be very strong though... Is that the best price a wrecker could give you for a GU scoop?
  19. How much did it end up costing you Matt? That sounds good, I thought it would take longer than just one morning? How hard was it to reposition bumpers? Did you need to extend the steering or do any other weird mods? As you can see, I don't really know much about BL on these cars, except that people will tell you it's a PITA, which you proved wrong. Dave, I'm at the one on Erindale Rd in Balcatta, but I only work there on Sundays.
  20. Haha, thanks Matt, but the rims don't belong to me so I'll have to take them off and give them back, but the tyres are mine, they're only about a week old. I will have to catch up with you guys to do a bit of panel mods once I can afford a lift and rims. Dave, the plan wasn't originally to go 32's but now that I have do you think that I could use that spare set of 50mm blocks instead of the 30mm ones? Also, when are we going to do these body lifts??
  21. Oh geez... What's this? They are a little bigger than the old ones. Sorry Matt for getting the same shoes as you but for $200 a tyre for 32x11.5R15LT, I couldn't pass it up.
  22. I know a few but they're almost half your age... Not that you'd complain.
  23. That's going to be an expensive week for you.
