OK, so last Friday I started smelling an odd scent in my pathy when I turned the heat on. Thinking back to an old post about something in the dash getting clogged with leaves and debris from the cowl vents and catching fire I thought "I need to go back and check that post and clean that out". Well with the Holidays and Family gatherings etc. I kinda forgot/procrastinated. Since I quit smoking in August I have become addicted to sunflower seeds so there's always a bag in my PF. Yesterday I noticed my bag of sunflower seeds was in the floor and "spilled" everywhere. Didn't think much about it, so last night I bought a new sack o seeds but specifically remember not opening it. Well this morning it was opened, seeds all over my passenger seat and freakin mouse poop everywhere!

So does anyone have a remedy for getting rid of this stow away? I'm afraid if I take all of "his food" out of the PF he'll start chewing my wires/hoses up. I need help, suggestions, tips and soon, I plan on taking same sort of action as soon as I get home tonight.

I can't believe people are recommending poison!!

Snap trap FTW...

Put in a shoe box or something so if it doesn't die immediately it won't drag guts around the truck. Bait with peanut butter and raisins...

yes, but if you poison it, then you have the fun job of hunting the dead body down........ that's half the fun! :new576:

Baited mouse trap is best and quickest option period :aok:

Poison, if you "want" the chance of a foul odor and you feel the need to tear your truck apart

Clean out the blower housing before the resistor catches its nest (if that is where it built it) or something else on fire.

Alright, Thanks for all the help so far. Put some traps out last night and got nothing but I'll try again tonight. Started cleaning up today and the bastard chewed my 4x4 shifter boot and he's been chewing on my floor mats. I took out the blower motor and cleaned it out but no sign of him there. I highly suspect he is in a duct right behind/above the glove box since that is where all the urine streams are coming from :P . So can any one tell me an easy way of taking the glove box out?

yeah, with peanut butter. The 2 black plastic hinge things?? I tried those but couldn't get them out. You have a picture?

Yes those, they are L shaped, flip down the one leg and pull it toward the center of the glovebox (should pull out completely), same thing for the other side.
