There is a set for 87-89, and a Set for the 90-95...

We believe the "With out Lift" is referring to the Trail Master Lift

On Friday I looked at a Pathy with 3+3 and they fit perfectly:)

Click the link in my Sig... Those are the one I am running...

Its about 100 cheaper than Thorley headers

I know being on a budget is tough but from what i've read its better to go with the thorley's and the set on his truck that i purchased look good still without any rusting just some discoloration from heat but thats expected...

Ive had Thorleys on my 95 for over 3 years and they have hardly changed color at all, there is a little rust forming at the joint connection under the tranny. The rust is from me originially welding it together with a crappy wire feed welder. My Mig kit arrives at the end of the week, Ill be re-welding it shortly.

From what Ive read and seen I think the Thorleys are more than worth the extra money, just my .02.

Yep. And you'll soon learn why. "Caveat emptor" and "you get what you pay for" both come to mind.

What's wrong with the pacesetters?

Do they rust like all hell?

It's already ordered so I think its too late for a refund...

Perhaps I could just coat them in Dupont high temp ceramic paint?

I ordered my thorleys through summit racing. They said the same thing in the item description. They fit just fine. I have a 3 in body lift and the calmini susp lift. I had no fitment problems. now exhaust stud problems that is another question altogether. BTW Mine is a 1991 4x4 5 speed

The headers are cheaply made in Mexico and some people have problems hooking up the EGR tube cause they tend to be off-angle from the factory. The y-pipe is another point of contention, take a little flashlight and peer inside from the end right at they 'y'...mine had a hole the size of a quarter blown through it with a torch and then they welded the other tube right on top. Nice. I'm going to build my own y-pipe with a proper sized hole when I get the chance.

Aside from that, lots of other people have the Pacesetters and they work OK after you get all the install kinks worked out. The tubing is nice and thick, so I don't think rusting out will be a problem. I plan to paint mine with some hi-temp silver exhaust paint and see how that goes. I did a set of Edelbrock headers with the Duplicolor stuff and they looked just like they'd been Jet-Hot coated. :D

Anyone know if these headers are they CA emissions legal? Actually, let me rephrase the question, will they pass the test?

If your in california you can only get the thorley's. They have the carb EO number stamped on the manifold. the smog guys will look for that when smoging. pacesetters are not carb approved.
