  1. I would say with the right tools your existing bumper could be fixed. That said, from what I understand, Jim @ Shrockworks would be willing to build R50 parts (I had looked into sliders a few years ago) if he had a test R50 to work with during the build.
  2. Go here for comments & questions: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=20709&hl=
  3. CALLING JOSH TO THREAD 15507!!! Dude, when you read this, may I suggest you click on the options box in the top right hand corner, and choose "track this topic"... it will email you when there are posts in this thread.
  4. LOL, whoops. Have 'freezing my ass off' on the brain, and assumed the minus I guess...
  5. Mine takes a pretty good hit in the winter too... goes from about 420km/tank in the summer to 320kms every winter. That said, it doesn't typically get to -40 here... an average of -10 to -20C... I didn't know Ontario goes right to the North Pole... you must be up there!?
  6. Not on my pathy... Master Cylinder is original. (everything ELSE brake wise... well... lol) Welcome to NPORA jproy... we do have some sub-forums as per your suggestion, but not quite as neatly organized as you mentioned... there is a how to section in "the garage" for DIY projects... most of the more frequent or important topics are stickied at the top of each pathfinder's subsection.
  7. I would guess diecut costs more than printed, because of the time to weed the stickers after they are cut. Someone has to manually peel all the negative parts of the sticker out. Time is money. Silverlion, the files I have are vector, I created them in Adobe Illustrator, which, is likely what they need to create the die cut stickers. I can send you the banner I set up, for you to forward to the shop for pricing. You will just need to tell them what size you want it. I can also make changes to the version I created... PM me and let me know.
  8. Let some of the other guys who have the same hubs as you chime in... but AFAIK, it's not entirely uncommon to have to reverse to disengage the hubs.
  9. There used to be bumpers available for the 96-99, by TJM, (the one I have) but they no longer make them, and finding one is a rare thing. I have a 99.5 and the mounts were the same, the issue is the shape of the grille. on the 99.5+ it is more rounded, and sticks out more. So my grille covers more of the top of the bumper than it should. The fitting is fine, I just dont have proper access to the winch. That said, I do believe a few people have fit the ARB to a 96-99 pathy. I don't recall hearing of any issues... I assume they may have had some gap between the bumper and the grille.
  10. I think that is the key... I had a set of older 15" R50 rims that wouldn't fit my truck (as the calipers are bigger on 99.5+ years). I have however fit a set of 15" AR steelies. (although I never did drive with them, I have a set of 16's, I simply wanted to know if the fit.
  11. I call it... "home" *gag* Typically "The pathy board", some times "N-P-O-R-A" I have heard others call it "n-pora"
  12. I would choose 16" over 17", as the price to wrap 17's in rubber will increase significantly. I'm not an offset expert by any means, so I cant help you there.
  13. Ha! That could work, post up in the classified section... your only issue may be shipping, if no one is local.
  14. The wheels alexrex posted do not need to be bored out. I have the same ones, they fit fine as is.
  15. Not that I know of, not here anyway... Before the pathy I drove on all seasons, all year round.
  16. lol, all that work to decide, and buddy behind the counter decided for you?! lol The AR's should do you well. The red and blue stripe around the rim is so worth it!
  17. B's version of a CB is two cans on a string... he's okay as long as the strings dont cross paths. And on topic, a tip for wheeling with a standard transmission... if you're wheeling with a group, be sure to let the driver behind you know you have a 5 speed, so they don't park too close if you happen to get stopped on any type if incline. A lot of auto drivers don't think of that when they park.
  18. I'm not 100% on the size, I would guess they are different. I know my 99.5 hinges different (at the back) than Simon's 95 (at the side).
  19. lol, congrats on both accounts, you sound quite happy & excited
  20. Seems I didnt read properly before... I assumed you meant the back (not that I know the answer either way)... but what part are you talking about??
  21. Be my guest B, or, the next person can post up their first post, and we'll be moving right along.
