  1. I too have the AC UCAs. I bought them used, they were on a well-used Pathfinder before I got them, and I think they'll be fine. They don't look as stout as some but plenty stout enough to be on my rig. I used to think AC's UCA's were bad just because people had had bad luck with them but I've come to realize that at least a few people have had bad luck with every brand of UCA for our Nissans, some are just more widely publicized is all...
  2. I love JP's HB. Not many people have the know-how or balls to turbo the 4banger and add fuel injection, then swap to an Isuzu drivetrain along with an sas at the same time...way cool. As to bumpers, I've always been partial to this bumper. He used to hang around n4w as orange4ska. When I build a bumper for the HB it will end up something like his:
  3. Have it resurfaced. I didn't last time I did the clutch and have regretted it every shift of the last 50k or so. I've got the engine out now, and am doing it right this time
  4. Everybody I've seen that has tried to fit the newer generation Nissan wheels to the (W)D21s has had to use wheel spacers. Something about the right backspacing but the wrong offset? I haven't seen them in person, but I think the minimum is a 1/2" spacer, I'll try to find that info again...
  5. You could also just reindex the tbars, there's a how-to somewhere around here. And Justin forgot to mention Bilstein shocks, people seem to really like them as well.
  6. What he said ^ And would you mind losing part of that freakin huge sig?
  7. I agree with Vsicks on the lights difference. You could make the HB lights fit by grinding them down or something, but they are far from the same as the Pathy ones. I remember 88, when he was on the AC board, giving people crap about having the clears. Now he's got'em. Looks great on his Pathy, the white and clears really go together well. Just funny... If y'all are interested, I think 88 and a few others got theirs at ozeparts.com. IIRC, they were like $60 plus shipping from Australia.
  8. If I bought a Pathy w/o the rear tire carrier, I'd buy one of these. From KMA, http://www.kenmtnac.com/
  9. They look kinda like the AC UCAs I've got. I'll look closer tomorrow to try to verify.
  10. Nice. What's the backspacing on those?
  11. System-F has a set of wheels like GrimGreg's that I think is for sale... I like those wheels that came stock on some of the (W)D21s, I think they were the early Nismos or something. I can't find a pic to upload however. Anybody know what I'm talking about? The wide 5 spoke aluminum wheel with lots of backspacing? I know somebody on here's got to have a set. Another wheel I really like the look of on Nissans is the MB Motoring Overdrive wheel, looks sharp.
  12. sw, Cooper makes the STT in the narrow 33? Is that the new design or the old one? I'd like to run that size, but the only MT I can find them in is the BFG, and it's kinda spendy here.
  13. You might talk to this guy...he's made some stickers, Nissan and otherwise, for some people over on AC, looks like he does a pretty good job: http://axiom8designs.com/ He's also got a pretty sharp looking 2dr Pathy...
  14. Those are the best pics I can find of it right now. Those are 32s in both pics I believe. If I find some better pics I will post up.
  15. Nice Taco there Dan, is that somebody in NIORA? As to the r50 lift, check the pinned r50 lift topic. The system-f Dan is referring to is the same considering building the lifts for them.
  16. There may be a new caR50 lift coming out soon: http://www.4x4parts.com/ubbthreads/showfla...sb=5&o=&fpart=1 I know he doesn't want to tread on L&P's toes, but he was the very first person (in the US anyway) to do this to an R50, so he probably has a right to market it. Anyhoo, he would appreciate constructive criticism, so if you have any concerns about the lift/price/fitment, go ahead and get ahold of him. I'll try to find a couple pics of it on his Pathy. I can't wait to see some of you guys running these lifts. I've always appreciated the caR50, but fitting bigger tires has always been a problem. Now I may have to go find myself one...
  17. Justin, for some reason I remember you having the 6 spoke chromies, is that correct? If so, they are 15x6s. While you could fit an 11.5" wide tire on that rim, it might be hard to do.
  18. I wouldn't say running 31s would make his pathy too sluggish. Part of it would depend on which transmission he has, not that it would be horribly noticeable either way. It also depends on which gears he has. For instance, if he has 4.6 gears, I would probably recommend 31s just to keep the revs down on the freeway. I switch back and forth between 31s and 235s a couple times a year on my HB (4banger no less) and hardly notice it. The one time I did notice a change in driveability on a Nissan, a buddy and I switched his pathy from 31s to 235s and then up to 32s. The differences between the 31s to 235s and 31s to 32s weren't that noticeable, but we could feel the difference between the 235s and 32s. Either way, good luck with your pathy and I hope you choose the size you'll be happiest with.
  19. Yep, forgot an ARB was available for the C200, I'm pretty sure it's the same one used in the R200 diff. That Pathy should have the Z24i, which is throttle-body injected. Also, the axle code shouldn't be hg46 but ca46, (HG denotes H233b/R200, CA=C200/R180). Also, the 4.8 gears are EXTREMELY rare in the U.S. in the (W)D21 vehicles; I have heard of ONE Hardbody here in the States with the 4.8 gears.
  20. Depends on what you want to do with it. It sounds like a good deal, but may not be exactly what you're looking for. I drive a 4banger '86.5 hardbody. It's slow and notices every little bit of weight, but it's been uber-dependable (226k-all hard miles) and I like it fine. If you are doing the MX/CA trip with a lot of gear or extra people or something, I might reconsider and find one with a V6. I doubt you can find a V6 one with that many "extras" (newer engine, new clutch etc) for that price but you never know. I did some research on the Z24i Pathys, was thinking about buying one from a friend awhile back, but here is what I found out: '87 Pathfinders were the only year in the U.S. to come with the 4banger, in the E model. The 2 I've seen have both had 4.6 gears. Being the 4banger model, they also come with the smaller (weaker) r180/c200 combo, and the only traction aid for either of those, short of welding, is to buy a limited slip from AC, Calmini, or Nismo, or to find one out of a Z.
  21. Well I don't know if the caR50 rearends are any different than any other H233Bs (the front ends are high pinion, so supposedly other gears and traction aids won't work), but this may be worth a gander: http://home.sprintmail.com/~onlyone/frames.html Go to mods, and then Detroit Locker. He converted his 33 spline H233b to 31 spline to be able to install the Detroit, and has had it like that for awhile without any problems.
  22. That wasn't me 88. Remember extreme90path? That was him, I let him use my comp (He was that guy who had a white pathy with a 3" bl and a roofrack on 31" TXRs on XE steelies, thought he'd blown it up, but it had actually just ingested some water. He sold it and got it back and is now trying to get it going again. He said he posted using my name and I've been looking around trying to find this damn post to see what happened. As to me, I know nothing about the VG series motors, wouldn't've said anything in this post, I'm just trying to do some research as I'm looking at a '95 wd)
  23. It could be the knock sensor. (in the distributer) My pathfinder (extreme90path) is ideling really bad and I have pulled codes. Fixed them, but I am convenced that it is the knock sensor. FYI the knock sensor is built into the distributer, so you have to replace it whole unit. (90-95). Hope this helps. -Extreme90path
  24. So you just called and asked to get the UCAs only and that's the price they gave you? I know the HB kit wont fit the pathys, just clarifying...
  25. Wouldn't the 9116 be the RS9000? If so, how do you like them? I just ordered 4 RS9000s for my HB, can't wait. I don't know very much about shocks, but I would recommend the RS9000 for up there too, I've never heard anybody complain about them. I plan to run them stiff and take off my swaybar so I can handle and flex, best of both worlds sort of thing...
