  1. Jon Bennet Arrest Wow, I thought at a minimum Mom and Dad at least knew what happened that day. Not so sure anymore.

    Admit it

Tears for Fears Everybody wants to rule the world. Anybody?? The sad part is I hated it when it was on the charts. Now I have it downloaded.

    Beer

Come on guys, wait til I fall off the wagon on my own. Don't drag me off! Just kidding, as soon as I get off the scripts things will be normal again. Yuengling anybody?
  5. I would try to sell it whole assuming it is in-tact already. The difference in $$$ you would get if torn apart would probably not be worth the time and effort. Making hard to find items available to your NPORA buddies is a very righteous thing! HINT HINT
  6. It's my understanding Mr. Jim is a great guy with a love of Pathfinders. Apparently some personal issues and hardships have caused him to no longer be active with NPORA. He has been AWOL for some time and noone here has been in communications with him. With that being said, save your $10 dollars, this website is functional and free. There are 6 or 7 moderators that keep it running and do great job keeping the forum a great community of Pathfinder owners. As far as I'm concerned you are a member and your trail pictures are awesome.
  7. Did you ask for the full vehicle inspection? I would be very suspicious asking for $25 oil change and the guy offers a $1200 repair. Shady
  8. linky Frontier2k1 & Pezzy have some nice homemade jobs. Is that what you have in mind?
  9. Yea how ya feeling? 2-3 days after is the worst. Hopefully today you start feeling better. Next time try to preceed the incident with my favorite phrase. Hey yall watch this! Woo Hoo! -bounce-
  10. Actually yes, but it taste like chicken!
  11. Hate to hear that, I was hoping maybe it wouldn't turn out so bad. You mentioned earlier about dealing with depression. Do you have kids? I bet you'd make a great coach and it would take a lot of your time!
  12. Quit making me laugh, it hurts!
  13. Sorry to hear that. How's your knee day to day? Are you mobile? I get to meet the nerosurgeon Friday for my L4/L5 back problems. I am feeling the depression because I can't cut the grass or even take out the trash. It's funny the stuff you hate the most becomes what you miss doing the most. What has helped me with the depression was stop drinking. Granted I only quit 2wks ago, thinking about my pain + drinking + Narcotics was making it worse. My kids are 4 and 6. They like to wrestle more than anything. We've traded wrestling for reading, even though we all prefer wrestling. Try not to think about your predictament right before bed. Reading with the kids before bed gets my mind off me and I don't sleep with misery all night. Sorry to be all mushy but its what help me the most. Hope your injury isn't severe and that you recover fast!
  14. Had a truck once with busted fuel gauge. Tripped the odometer every fill-up. When odometer got to 200 I re-filled. This kept me from running out of gas and kept fill-ups less than $20. Worked pretty good at the time. Need to warn you that gas was barely $1/gal at that time. Your lucky to get 100miles for $20 bucks of gas these days.
  15. No, just used the 4-way. The next week 200miles later put another 1/8 to 1/4 turn on each nut again with the 4-way to make sure. I've never had one nut come loose my whole life, I must of had 20 loose yesterday. Somethings not right. Don't worry, she's parked til I'm sure. Not worried about me, but never want to hurt someone else. Pretty sure the old ones are OEM. They were pretty plain, just painted them gold.
  16. It gets worse, on the way home from work today I notice i picked up a vibration. oh well thought the second hand tires I switched out were dry rotted and falling apart. next thing I get a violent jolt and a tire is keeping pace with me down I-12. I don't know what to say, i try to be safe, but these last couple of screw-ups have got me doubting myself. The tire crossed the interstate on-coming, luckily no-one was coming or got hurt. What caused this? I swichted tires and rims, but kept original lug nuts. A week later i re-torqued the nuts and havent checked them since. To fix my pedicament I stole a nut off each wheel to get the tire back on. All nuts were loose except for 2 or 3. I never remember a wheel nut backing off in my life, but all of mine were loose. all I can think is the nuts are not drilled all the way thru- The rims I swapped are thinner where the stude passes thru the rim. Prehaps the nuts are bottoming out on the studs and not pressing the rim to the hub if that makes sense? before after I'm also worried I may have fatiqued the studs. Should I worry about the condition 0f the studs. Again any help apprecieated. Might get a bus pass and check my life insureance. Starting to think the wife is doing me in.
  17. Surgery I wanna avoid, With the great healthcare plan I'm In the $2500 deduct kicks in at the new calendar year. I'm sure i met the ductible Sunday, so If I decide surgery, It needs to happen this year or it will be another $2500 out the pocket. Can't knock the insurance too much. Monthy cost is cheap, never came close to meeting deductable until now.
  18. You probably know checking grounds and battery are the first and easiest. You can try jumper cables to make sure starter is getting enough juice. It seems like someone had a bad ignition switch with similar symptoms about 3 months ago. Couldn't find it in the search. Sound familiar to anybody?
  19. update, Sunday trip to ER. got my first cup of coffee, cruising NPORA, got out of the chair when something zigged when it should of zagged. Pain from lower back down to the ends of the toes. Never had a major injury, but that was the worst pain this body has ever experienced. It took me an hour to convince the ER that it wasn't a kidney stone. They gave me two injections that helped a lot. It ends up I have a herniated disk accompaning the pinched nerve, L4, L5. Yesterday received an epidural that helped a lot. Today is 1st day back to work. Not to bad just the left foot throbs relentlessly. Needless to say, no tinkering with Pathy for the next couple months. I did buy some allow wheel paint this weekend. the intent was to wire brush some dark spots and paint the rims gold, and the Nissan logo red. Kind of stole the idea from one the members who wanted yellow. don't tell him. Also bought some freon for a re-charge, but need to get the system vacuumed first. I can probably do that without increased pain. Last Wednesday traded in the wifey's Expedition for a new Honda Odessey. She hates it and me! It's sweet for a mall crawler, the EX-L green slate. I just can't swing 14-15mpg any longer. Advice for the next time, get permission first B4 trading the wifes car, and when arguement ensues do not say "when you get a job I'll let you trade it in"! That's my life for the last week. I might be a little kinda scarce til things are a little healthier.
  20. Start looking now, find a company that is small but growing. Eventually they will have to compete with the big dogs and hire a lotta folks. They won't have time to train, so they will suck up the lower guys to the middle. I looked for 3yrs b4 I changed. Bad economy made it a little harder. The office at the new company was a satellite office w/ 24 employees. The home office and another satelite office in Biloxi was flooded out in Katrina. Now we have 250+ employees. Management is trying to run w/ the big dogs. To get people they are throwing out the bucks and even gave across the board raises to keep people from leaving. I always heard of across the board raises in the old days, this was the 1st one I've personnally benefited from. I was fortunate and mostly lucky to move at the right time. Have not regretted the move. You won't either. Take your time with looking, your not under layoff pressure, so you can pick and choose.
  21. Thought my pathy had a squealling belt, so went to Advanced Auto and got some cheap belts. After further inspection it was the H2O pump squealing. I didn't have the confidence to do that work, so took it to the shadetree mechanic down the street. He reamed me pretty good about buying cheap belts. That was 2 years ago and no problems so far. If you change them before they break it's not a bad idea to store the old ones in the truck somewhere. Might save you from having to hitch-hike one day.
  22. Very cool, but I'm ready for the clown to return!
  23. It was a little mspaint avatar, now it's in flames.
  24. K9sar your avatar is on fire! What happened?
  25. The wifey is taking the pathy to her mom's today. short trip, but decided better check the oil before she leaves. haven't opened the hood in a while. The first thing I see is no cap on the brake fluid reservoir! I did the brakes July 4th holiday, full three weeks ago! Lucky the wife didn't find out doing 70 on the I-55. Anyway the screen filter was in place, so not too concerned about impurities, but lots and lots of rain and moisture. Anyone ever bled down the entire brake system? Does this need to be done? Feel free to take some free shots as well, I deserve it!
