Same. Cops around here don't care much about little things like that. I get away with no mud flaps, no muffler, no fender flares, a rebel flag sticker in my window, etc. I see other big ass trucks, illegal by law, that cops drive past every day and don't even think twice about them. Here they're sticklers for speeding, drugs, gangs...stuff that's somewhat important and not a waste of time.

^^ Yes, the forestry service doesn't view these as legal spark arresting devices. If caught, the fine is HUGE, and I believe it's a federal offense as well.

Maybe he's highly recommended because no one knows better than to defy him? That's the case with the shop I took mine to to get something fixed. Firestone does this as well, depending on the store and area.

Even though they might be applicable, I don't really think they do any good. Though I will say that when we put a throttle body spacer on my old '88 Suburban 2500 350 TBI, there was a gain of about 2mpg without any lack or improvement in power. Which is good when you're driving something the size of the Titanic. Maybe it's because the engine makes enough power already to where a slightly leaner mixture won't affect it any?

stalling at higher rpms and now wont even run

Check the wiring to it. Chances are, if it ran great till suddenly there's a faulty connection somewhere. Run the codes again as well. -
The differential didn't design its self. Whoevers idea it was to design a diff to make the "laws of physics" spin the tire with the least traction should be shot multiple times.
-
We don't take physics in my school district... And how does it not? Go around a corner to the left, and that tire spins. Go around the corner to the right and that tire spins. Put the left tire on some snow and the other on gravel, and hit the gas and the snow tire spins. Put the other tire on the snow and the other on gravel and that tire spins. I don't quite see how that's not taking the path of least resistance... But I did fail chemistry and biology...

I thought the VG30Is were fuel injected at the throttle body...? It wouldn't be pointless for an I, but for an E, yes.

Who is this guy? I'd love to give him a call and rattle his cage a little. What a jackass!

I have no idea if the diffs are the same between WDs and R50s, but mine does exactly what yours did, and it's an open diff. Though I hear that the stock LSDs in R50s aren't worth very much. A way to tell is jack the rear end up, and if you spin one wheel and the other spins the same way, you have LSD. If not, open diff. An open diff will spin the tire with the least traction. Stupid idea, really. Whoever thought of that should be shot multiple times.

Awesome! Only problem I can see is changing the rest of the lighting to the same color. The heater controls and shift lever display.

Flowmaster is over-rated. Look on craigslist or ebay for a good condition, old style Edelbrock muffler. They don't make them anymore. The inside is like a glasspapack muffler, but there's 2 tubes with perforated metal to drone some sound. The design allows for absolutely zero backpressure, unlike baffles used in other common mufflers, like Flowmaster and what not. And, they don't burn out over time. They still sell online for about the same price as they were new a few years ago when they stopped making them... Why they stopped, I have no idea since it was such an awesome muffler. The Edelbrock mufflers are quiet-ish for the most part, but the sound deepens and gets louder the harder you get on it. If you do pick one up, the wait time vs. the added performance will pretty much cancel out so it'll be worth it in the end.

At least 3 times. Still funny though!

Lockers. What's the point in having flex if the power can't be transferred to that wheel to pull the truck through? Seems a little counter productive to me

Hmmmm...there really be something out of wack on mine...

Ouch. Hope it's nothing too serious...

How many times does this need to be covered? You DO NOT need to take it in to read the codes. There is a how-to on this under self diagnostic I think. Taking it in to someone is a 100% waste of time, gas, and money. -
what if i replace stock 7x15" wheels with 8.5x15" ?
Kingman replied to KLL's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Does that come with a diagram? -
I thought they didn't respond to water because there's no spark plug to foul, only the compression to heat the air to ignite the fuel.
-
Sounds much better with no muffler at 5000 rpm in park. At idle and there are the best sounds a vg30 can make.

Have you ran the diagnostic on the ECU yet?
