    Rear brakes

I don't think so. A few people have swapped just the axles and kept everything else the same and said theirs drove fine. I think someone also did something with a Dodge Master cylinder.
  2. In regards to the turning radius, these SUCK compared to the others. The Muchos Gracias downtown here is a small drive-thru building, with the drive through that wraps around it. My old Explorer and my mom's Cherokee can make it in one turn to the other side, with room to spare. I have to back up a ways and get a better angle in the Pathfinder otherwise I'll run into the 2 foot tall brick planter that cases the drive-thru. Turning from the exact same spot, the Pathfinder ends up with a 4 foot wider turn than either the Cherokee or Explorer. The Cherokee is way nimbler than the Pathfinder, and the Explorer is a little less than the Cherokee. Of the three, the Pathfinder turns and handles the worst, much worse. Everyone who rides in the Cherokee after riding in the Pathfinder all ask why I don't drive that instead, because it is more powerful and handles a lot better. They laugh every time I have to make a few runs at a tight turn in the Pathfinder when the Cherokee, it's one graceful swoop. It's a dog compared to the others. 5 years down the road I'd guess the Blazer would have the most repairs. I prefer the styling of the Blazer over the Pathfinder.
  3. I remember watching that a while ago. The results aren't shocking to me at all, exactly what I expected to happen.
  4. Are you or them sure they got a good seal on the bypass hose?
  5. BUT I got the seal for the diff and now I just need the gear oil and motivation and impact wrench to take the diff out and replace it... Which reminds me, one of the rear diff carrier nuts stripped, so I'm not really sure what to do about that...
  6. Yup. But I'm not going to be parting with any of that anytime soon, unless my engine swap plans suddenly get pushed forward a little.
  7. ...did you order the correct one for your truck?
  8. My buddy's dad put some Toyo MTs on his F350 long bed crew cab, and he loves them to death. They've taken him through whatever he's needed to, and living up in Carson in the boonies that's what counts.
  9. Swap a 350 into that baby!
  10. I PERSONALLY don't like them. Other people do, like my dad.

Digital camera that just happens to take video.
  12. Yup. Washington is the tree state...trees everywhere waitin to rip that sh!t right off your truck.
  13. My old Suburban used to make a whining/turbo noise as well when it was cold and first started in the morning. Changing the fluid made the noise go away.
  14. That's common. Especially in the cold. 2-3 is sort of a slower, softer shift. And whatever else the newer ones do. Mine is only a 3 speed.

I just tried, my camera is such a piece of sh!t that all it picked up was wind noise and if it got too loud it would make blotchy noises. Well I uploaded it anyways. Beware, there's only a few parts where you can actually hear it. It was too windy out. At the end I put it in drive so you could hear how it loped at idle, sounds like a V8 when it's fully warmed up and idling around 600 in drive. At the beginning you can hear my lifters clatter AND the sound is way ahead. WTF http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mq3EYE5bDso

All I have is a MagnaFlow hi-flow cat and no muffler, that's it. I love the sound myself.

I think. And it has to do with the circulation of hot air through the pipes, and how the engine can't push air through that big of a pipe effectively. Like blowing really hard into a small straw, then bigger, bigger, then so big you get nothing. There's a happy medium, and I think it's 2.25-2.5"

3" is too big. Maximum performance is I think a 2.5" exhaust. That's what I've been hearing. There's quite a few threads on this...

Edelbrock makes a muffler now, but it's totally different. The one I'm talking about hasn't been made in 3 years.
  20. I've always wondered that. Good to know it really does make a big difference in our rigs. For that I won't be going above a 31

For SOUND I'd go with a dynomax muffler, or a pair of glasspacks. The flowmaster sounds tinny to be. Magnaflow sounds good as well. For performance, glasspacks are the best, or equivalent. No backpressure. Edelbrock old style mufflers (don't make them anymore, have to find them on Ebay or whatever) are the best muffler, period. No backpressure, amazing sound, and don't blow or burn out.

    Flowmaster is overrated.
  23. The BFG ATs suck up mud and don't clean very well. Good for everything else, but not mud. There's so much rain around here I wouldn't consider putting those on my truck. My next tire will be a MT, hopefully a KM2. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH OLD TECHNOLOGY. The performance and reliability that comes with it is much better than designing something new and having it be a total failure, and ruining the company's name. They have no reason to do something about the design unless people suddenly quit buying them. Which I don't see happening any time soon. My dad just put a brand new pair on his F150.
  24. Flex: Okay, so the one wheel that you want flexed is touching the ground. What good does that do if it's not locked and doesn't spin? Just another point where it happens to be touching the ground, and doing nothing for you. Lockers: Okay, so the one wheel doesn't touch the ground. What good does it do you to be locked up and spinning in the air? The other tire that is touching the ground will still spin and hopefully pull you where you need to go. But, IF an open diff is the case, you're screwed! Guess which wheel is going to spin... Solution? GET BOTH Two is always better than one IMO.
