  1. The solenoids run about 185 dollars. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  2. how's the air filter? rubber intake hose isn't cracked? none of your vacuum hoses are cracked? There's a whole bunch right around the throttle body area and driver side engine/exhaust area and then you have the fuel pressure regulator in the back of the engine near the firewall.
  3. try swapping out another TCU and see if that fixes it. with the TCU disconnected, I think the transmission goes into "limp mode" which is that it starts in 2nd. I could be wrong about this so don't take my word for it.
  4. Hows the rebuild holding up? I'm in the process of researching and building a transmission. I'm trying to see what all internal parts are different and why and see if I can pack more clutch plates in to match that of the Xterra. I like the low first and second gear as the 2wd and xterra/frontier transmission run a taller gearing which isn't great when you switch up to bigger tires.
  5. Brake lights work? Check your fuses? a faulty or shorted illumination (wire for radio for aftermarket kits) will blow a fuse. You could pop the switch out and bypass the switch to test.
  6. Happy Easter to you too! Have you ever been over on Ronin Wheelers?
  7. Glad you figured it out. the closed end ratchets are a blessing. even the jointed swivel ones. https://store.snapon.com/Reversible-Ratcheting-Box-Speed-Open-End-mm-10pc-12-Point-Ratcheting-Box-Speed-Open-End-Combination-Wrench-Set-10-mm-19-mm--P736876.aspx
  8. so you checked the bulb by swapping it with the other side to confirm it's not the bulb? Also check the wiring. It could be a loose contact or a break in the wire somewhere.
  9. Just hope that you didn't destroy any bearings from oil starvation. It looks possibly that piece of that crappy drain plug got sucked up and lodged itself inside the pump prevent good flow. Not sure how far that small piece good go but you're already there, just just pull the crank pulley off and check the oil pump.
  10. Yep! I was trying to post the exact photos too
  11. Looks like someone royally messed up and dropped a tool inside the motor.
  12. Oh man, I overlooked the engine removal/install part. yeah like Adamzan said, you can unbolt it and move aside.
  13. Yeah, that's what I ended up doing the other day. I had to pull back the plug covers to expose the wires to figure it out. Ended it being that I had it wired backwards. While at it I checked my other wiring and switched two plugs for the IACV and knock sensor. God I hate those metal clips on these plugs.
  14. I believe the local autoparts store sell refrigerant discharge kits.
  15. Look at your Vin plate and see when it was built. If it's early model 93 more chances it being a square tooth. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  16. Solved. No inhibitor switch, no worky. Fortunately I could just plug the harness from the transmission back up or just create a jumper at the plugs on top of the passenger fender well.
  17. Perhaps, I'm over analyzing this but I got a new battery and got my old starter hooked up. Only thing here is the transmission is not hooked up and I'm sure if that has anything to do with it. I don't have any codes stored either. https://youtu.be/8aKHVIz5y_o I haven't tried jumping the solenoid but wanted to be sure I'm not missing anything else before testing the starter.
  18. I think there is something for the z31/2 folks. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  19. You can borrow and electric impact buy one. I can't remember if used one the last time. Might be an issue with the size and room you have to get it in there. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
