  1. lol, thats awesome. its tempting just for the fact that I bet almost NO ONE has any of those
  2. Tungsten: did you ever fix this because my trip meters just stopped working too.
  3. ace hardware can make a new key for about $5 with the old one as a template. If you were to buy the actual new key from somewhere else and then just have them cut it they will usually do it for free also.
  4. you could still pull the short tubes, but you would have to drop both torsion bars in order to do it.
  5. Nothing at all. IMO they may actually be of higher quality if from Nissan/Nismo.
  6. I'm pretty sure the Calmini and 4x4parts R200 LSD's are Nissan or maybe Nismo products. At least the Calmini site states: "This is the factory stuff".
  7. cool. want to pick one up tomorrow. are we thinking 2.25" or 2" diameter?
  8. lol, ok, so what is "not cheap for a clamp"? $50?
  9. how does it conform? is it made of a semi-pliable metal?
  10. do you have a part number or picture? that sounds good
  11. weird. mine had the welding instructions on it. maybe they figure it will just fuse together over time or something....
  12. well its not a leak if you do what Thorley instructs and weld it. lol. its not like there is a hole or anything in it.
  13. Its not a "problem". The crossover pipe is made in two pieces. One side slides into a flange on the other side and is supposed to be welded.
  14. actually I was thinking about that too. do you think it would work?
  15. how did you score the coated ones? last I heard they were not making them at all any more. I have the same Issue. They are supposed to be welded, per the instructions. But on the advice of Koveman I used Ultra Copper Silicone as a sealant. To do it properly you have to remove the passenger side crossover bolts and slide it out of the other side a bit. Then you can get a good surface to get some silicone in there. It still melts a bit, but it sealed up my leak and horrible lawnmower sound pretty well.
  16. thats what I thought, but was just curious. Interesting mod, even if unnecessary.
  17. yeah like kingman says, it might help to clean the maf. There is a writeup in the howto section. i just used rubbing alcohol to clean mine.
  18. what about for heavy rock crawling. or preserving the life of the LSD? I've read some places about rear diffs overheating.
  19. don't mess with the TPS, its another valve that affects the idle speed in regards to the A/C and power steering on the VG30E. Its the IACV switch or some such valve at the rear of the intake manifold (when I get home I'll post the correct name). Mine isnt working either. However, you should still be able to adjust the idle by turning the screw thing on it. You want to be around 800rpm when warmed up.
  20. no, no joke, its a Nissan Motorsports product
  21. What is an Electric Differential Oil Cooler Pump? Do I already have one on the WD21, and why would I need one?
  22. you can check your codes on the ECU yourself. The codes/how to are pinned in the garage how to section. when was the last time you had a tune up: plugs, wires, cap, rotor? my fouled plugs were killing the mileage.
