Looked at the ever growing pile of parts and wished that I was working on my own stuff rather than everyone else's junk.

Regardless of the pros and cons, that's good information for those that may very well just want to install an MSD coil in the future! Great job on the post and the pictures are excellent! -
Yep, I am out on that... I am more interested in gaining fuel mileage... but that could probably be achieved by running 14 inch wheels with rubber band tires and reducing all the weight from bumpers, winch, etc...

5523 thats a great idea... If I was smart when I bought my first car, I would have done that!

I think it is just a throttle body motor, may be vortec but I don't know just yet. Either way it will be way more power than I had with the tired 3.0 So you only have one bucket up front? I am having a hard time visually seeing this in my head... which makes me wonder what happened to the passenger side seat?!? Its been a long day... sorry for rambling.

the last few issues I have had with her car I just fixed myself. Did not want to waste the time to take it the dealership only to be told that its not covered... I took the car in and they charged me $80 for diagnosis and then REFUNDED it back because it was the crank sensor... (covered allegedly.) Get this... cam sensor is not covered... WTH?
-
Just from experience with the wifes Altima... If I could do it again I would not have gotten it. With the exception of ONE time (crank sensor) every other time has been "Sorry sir this isnt covered under the extended plan you purchased." and "yes sir I am aware that it is a bumper to bumper warranty, however it appears that this just does not fall under that."

Finally found an OBD II GM 350 complete with harness and computer, no leaks... 207K miles... Going to assist in pulling it weekend after next... This mated with the TH350/NP205 along with the 68 inch wide full size axles will make the old slow import into a full width BEAST. (I hope!) Needless to say, I am kind of excited. Been a long time waiting to score the necessary parts.

Its still a valid idea, similar to the guys that run C02 or nitrogen cooling on their intercoolers...
-
Interesting.... My question would be how would you plumb in the duct work for this to work.... I'd be willing to try it out for sure...

Or some Cherokee springs....

Hey man I wasn't against the idea... I'm going to do my interior lights led after seeing the pics of tex' ride. Form your own opinion... That's what an instructor once said...
-
Spooled some new cable onto the bastard parts winch....

I have to agree with B and Adam tho... I have only changed one break light bulb and my headlights I always change as a pair, but that was due to the headlight relay mod. I like the concept of LED lighting, and I went through a phase in my Honda... But I'm ok with incandescent bulbs in my old slow beast.
-
If I still lived in WA I would be right there with ya man... Here it goes from insanely hot and humid to cold and dry...constantly. Same reason that the mounting clips for the rear side louvers turned to dust...

Yikes. First thing I would do is uninstall the radio and start at that point first. Not saying NOT to reinstall it later, but that is the point where the issue began correct? Next I would start tracing wires, looking for any signs of a short... And of course consult the FSM for wiring diagrams, it helps tremendously!! As for the larger fuse... once you get it back in service, put the right size back in there...

Something else I forgot to mention... When I swapped the incandescent bulbs for LED units initially I utilized an amber color behind an amber lens light fixture (front bumper Honda) and red LED behind a red lens light fixture (brake light Honda). The lights worked fine, but were kind of too intense color wise. Hard to explain and I cannot provide pictures of what I mean, but what I ended up doing was swapping them with a buddy who had white LED's of the same nature. This to me operated more like the fixtures were designed, and were not screaming "hey cops come stop this ricer" as bad as they were before.. Yes I had a Honda, best gas mileage I have ever had...

Make sure the family is taken care of first bro!!

Yep. Frustrating little jerks. I have 3 that I robbed from a junk yard pathy, but if I have to remove my grille again, I doubt I will be able to utilize them a second time... brittle little fellahs. I like the idea aHardbody had regarding the license plate parts. I may try that...

Good job! How do you like the Hayden cooler? Any noticeable difference from the trans hump? I know when I did my cooler, I could tell a drastic change in temperature, but I have yet to put a gauge in either... still waiting on the gauge pod...
