  1. nice X man. good winch deal too.
  2. on it! and it's been 3 days since the original post so, does it run yet?
  3. look in a webpage of your favourite auto parts dealer. they normally have all the parts numbers etc..
  4. yeah. make sure the one you get is for a setup like yours. the main differnce is in TBI and MPFI like ghost here is advising. as to the carb idea: seems all the reasons against it have already been spelled out. you wouldn't need to necessarily change the intake manifold but you'd have to fins a carb that'd fit the "seat." fuel pump pressure would probably one of the main things you'd have to deal with besides the ECU starving for input. i'm sure it's doable but i can't recall anyone doing it. rich condition: one of your sensors or the ECU are reading something wrong or not reading.. seems like you checked most of them. your timing is correct? did the truck always do this since you've owned it? if not, when did it happen? did you service anything about that time?
  5. how many miles? look into the trasmission cooler mod, pronto. could be shift selenoid... there is also a button on the stick shift that makes it shift way late.. is that pup pressed in?
  6. check for loose wireing and test the switch as it may be at fault here.
  7. the picture was of the cv boot that is in the title of this thread. my bad.
  8. that may be so but i have no clue what the heck he drives nor is this thread in r50 area.
  9. no clunking. i use basically just any as they all have additive in them now-a-days. it's hard to find some with out. whatever the recommended weight by your owner's manual, is what i'd go with.
  10. are you getting spark and fuel to the motor?
  11. the day of the race i am going to a cleanup/ride but the rest of the weekend i should be around.. probably will be wrenching, mate.
  12. no kidding? not sure if i am going to be around for the brickyard. let me check my calendar and i'll post back up in a little while.
  13. that's kind of BFE out there.. more wind then people but if you come easterly.. greal lakes.. bump this up.
  14. you can't really clean them with out taking them apart. there should be plenty of grease in the packet that comes with replacement CVs. i had some extra on each side and i packed those pups FULL!
  15. 1. look around there is a link to a DL of an FSM on here somewhere. other then that i use haynes for everything and it'll get you through almost any job.. sometimes i have to look around and reread a few times but that's no biggy. 2. pretty sure they are stamped with min thickness on the inside.. how many miles on your truck? location? 3. what you can afford.
  16. drying is good; the spray you used dries quickly; when was the last time your truck had a tuneup? it could also be dirty fuel filter.
  17. yeah, the year would help as some are way easier then others.
  18. fluids do tend to mix at least somewhat when the head gasket is shot.
  19. no, those are stock holes but the area of concern is above the rear wheels. that's where there are side holes but hardly a hole at the bottom.

could be dirty or wet fuel. if it shudders and runs like crap.. could be o2 sensor.. check engine light on? check for codes. and have a potato for me, ok?
  21. not sure where you are but look in on kbb's site as the price seems a little on the tall side. have him show you the receipt for the tranny.. find out if it has an external cooler now or not. ask about timing belt; see if it has been done..
  22. you know the only issue i do have is uploading pictures.. i haven't been able thusfar. it tells me it's loading them but that can go on and on, all night if i let it.
