  1. that's about right on the temp gauge though; mine warms up pretty fast, it's freakin hot right now too.
  2. http://wd21forums.damagedreality.com/phpbb...wtopic.php?t=58
  3. How many frame attachment points do you have there. Could you by any chance take a close up of those. Thanks
  4. Ha, that's funny, my tk is just the opposite. the front end is higher then the rear end and it does lean a bit toward the passengers rear. It's my rear springs though. worn out. no time for that project right now...
  5. Matterhorn, nice pic. did you fab it yourself? That's something I'll have to get sometime but I just have too many project on the plate right now. Maybe this winter...
  6. I'd bypass the stock cooler if I were you. I don't think a flush is really gonna clear that thing, and you don't want to start with a new cooler full of crap.
  7. this forum has a search feature, you know. same on damgedreality
  8. that'd be my first guess since you said it was consistent with the engine rpms.
  9. I have pro-comp 3000, can't remember exactly but they are the ones step up from stock replacements, and I really like them. much better then the gas gabriels that were on there from the PO. I feel the ride is awesome. It sure doesn't seem too stiff. I payed soomewhere around $30 ea. which I thought wasn't too bad at all.
  10. Hmmm? a wire grounding out somewhere before the starter?
  11. Sounds like a pretty good deal if everything is kool. You should have another 30k before you need to change the timing belt.
  12. Yes, you can pull codes even if the light isn't on anymore. they are stored in there. read the sticky about the ECU codes. follow the directions and you should get something. it only takes a minute or so and no dissembly required. -study- good luck.
  13. as you can see it can be almost anything. When or how did this start? did you do anything to your tk right before that? if that's the case, retrace your steps to make sure everything is a OK. After that you just have to start the process of ellimination. Run the codes and see if there is anything there to point you in the dir of the prob. Otherwise, tune job (and timing,) filters (air/fuel,) and check all of the vaccum hoses for tight connection. good luck, hope your tk gets better soon.
  14. without hearing this sound etc... hard to tell, but I have a Ford tk that does this chattering like noise on start up and it's the torque conv. and plate hittinh the housing a bit. Since you say you've banged rock check there.... good luck
  15. So what is the proper procedure for tightening the tensioner?
  16. yup, I got some in my other tk for $1.69 last night. Unfortunately the pathy didn't like the cheap stuff so I gotta run midgrade (10c more)
  17. yah, what matterhorn said. they are there for a reason. If you wheel off-road I'd definately get that other bolt replaced. It the tap is holding it togather, you are prob ok for a while.
  18. I don't know about that dude. Check out the link on the page, especially the 3rd one. I think that's pretty f bad. Shootin up the poor kitty with stuff; Cruelty at least. see here
  19. I am guessing that NV has more of that then IN.
  20. the pathy was on stock 31s allterrains. I wouldn't even dream of speeds like that on the M/Ts, plus I am getting a bit older too. Now as to the mopar, yup, darn thing was a boat (buddy's) and he actually blew my doors away in some older Pontiac (I think) which was missing on 1 cylinder pretty bad and blowing oil like a street walker. Crazy times..... -alcohol-
  21. that'd be right. I have had my Pathy up to 110 mph. Not as smooth as the 'stang or the benz though. The fastest I have ever driven was about 135-140mph in a mid 80s Cordoba on I70.
  22. or just toss'em in. Swimming is a instinctual responce, they'll be fine. That's how I thought my dogs and they love swimming. Whatever you do just remember that you are the Alpha not the dog.
  23. Maybe your AT is in power mode. That'll surely do it. Or possibly OD isn't working.
  24. I am not 100% certain but I doubt that everything is grounded on one spot. All other cars I have ever worked on, every thing was always grounded separately, meaning that each component has it's own ground. Since you are having ghost makes me think that maybe it's the voltage reulator. Please keep us posted on your results/solutions. Very interesting. I hope you can get this fixed quickly and cheaply.... You can have your charging system checked for free at AutoZone.
