  1. my passenger front tire seems to be cupping.. any ideas why that maybe happening.. no real suspects at this time nor have I really inspected my truck close.. will next week after my trip... thanks
  2. all those etc.. mpgs go to sh!ts.. i am not saying one shouldn't lift.. just saying don't put the cart in front of the horse.. if you're not familiar with your truck a lift and all the goodies may only get you stuck further in the wilderness...
  3. well, maybe.. the first thing i did to my truck after i bought it was taking off the monroe gas shocks.. it's really what you can afford and live with... if you can't afford bilsteins (i can't) then you go with what you can... new monroes are better then whatever you have that's old and worn out...
  4. Are the kyb gr-2's good? I have had them on my cars and loved them. They wanted like an extra $40 for a set of monroe's. I was really surprised to see that the kybs are the cheapest. I am going to get all Nissan oem parts for everything else. Unless someone can suggest something better. How are moog products? Are they better than OEM or should I just stick with the Nissan stuff. anything but monroe.. look into bilsteins but $$$ and i have no idea if they make them.
  5. try this one for your year: http://www.Nissan-techinfo.com/Nissan/refg...hfinder/fwd.pdf
  6. do a search for shop manuals on this site for wiring schematics.
  7. those are even cooler.. some are pretty cheap but some are rather high.. wonder why?
  8. pezzy, that one looks pretty cool and comfy.. hmmm
  9. on my 5 speed stick... at 60mph it's around 2500 but at 70-75 it's 3500 and eats gas like crazy.. most efficient around 50-60 sometimes in the 40s.. depends... if you start bogging down then you're in too high of a gear... 2000rpm is just fine but if you need to gitty up then it won't go and you'll waste a bunch of gas.. down shift time.. i think that the higher rpms are fine with these engines.. redline is at 6k.. most american cars have lower redlines...
  10. take the motor off and push the window up.. otherwise you're in for a hunt.
  11. buy best quality.. i know, it'll cost more up front but in the long run you'll be glad you made that decision.. personally, i wouldn't put monroe anything on my truck.
  12. welcome i am not familiar with the newer generation tks but I'd say yes.. might as well since you're there.. also, try using a long pry bar when checking the front end if hand shaking didn't do it and you do still have a clunk. up and down.. left and right.. shake the links and other components by hand back and forth etc..
  13. there are many trade-offs when lifting.. be sure to weigh all the options...
  14. first, i'd say learn how to drive a stock rig before plunking big $$ for stuff you may never really use or need.. stock truck is pretty amasing.. you should have seen me yesterday.. the heepers were rather impressed.. i followed a bunch of built up rigs and did everything but the waterfall which i am planning on next time i am there... lol
  15. second that.. the P looks kind of cheap without it. i find the carrier pretty usefull in many ways.. different strokes for different folks i guess..
  16. these things can be a lot of fun but with huge tires like that it's bouncy as hell and i would imagine not that safe.. but, if they are having fun then it's all good.
  17. love my tent and find the back of the P uncomfortable and oh what a hassle having to move everything around.. let us know how it works for you..
  18. how did they pop the hood? did they get inside?
  19. .. me thing the mental gymnast ought to finagle that one..
  20. when you switch from 4hi to 4lo you're suppposed to have the tranny in N as to N on the transfer case... if you need to be dragged out or something and you're in 4 wd then sometimes you'll need N there to be able to get free
  21. turn it on and lock the doors.. you'll see the light blinking fast till it sets and then it blinks slowly
  22. too bad you're on team meow isn't it? sorry to hear though.. fokers
