  2. wow. the here ones are kool. look a bit yotish... the other ones are a bit strange but hey.. whatever.. it's all good
  3. slick, diesels are way more efficient. on a v6 you're talking 30+mpg. loss of power? maybe on a drag strip.. in the bush there is no better... it also has no wires to get wet... it's really the unltimate!
  4. if you don't have pb use whatever you have.. liquid wrench, wd40.. they all help.. does too. well, i stripped the old sensor.. then i ended up chipping all the rust off from the area.. i sure didn't see it untill i got all that crud off of there. i remember getting out the sawzall ... i cut the weld best i could with that.. it was kind of towards the top.. a real bitch.. now the new sensor x-threaded big time but it seems to not be leaking. i just put a gasket-in-a-tube around it to help it seal and left it.. seems to work ok.
  5. no kidding. yes do tell! actually i think a may have found a keeper.. :cool2:
  6. no, I drove in Ontario.. there really seemed just 3 limit: 100, 80 and 50... but everybody told me that speeding upto 20 over was OK.. i really didn't see that many people doing that though... 10, yes most of them did that.. a few 15s or so... i really didn't mind.. i drove speed limit quite a bit too just peeping at things..
  7. i normally clear my ECU by the procedures in that link.. never had a problem... you missed something or damaged something... check everything again... since the truck just started this after you worked on it, it has to be related..
  8. i think B mentioned that the fan should have some resitance when cold.. not too much, not too little.. how about that for precise..
  9. if it's AT you may wanna do the external cooler mod quick.. have you burped the cooling sytem? could also be the sensor.. check ECU (garage sticky) any obstructions on the rad?
  10. check around the forums.. similar problems abound.. o2 sensor, maf sensor for starters..
  11. hey red, thanks for following that up.. he never responded to me.. hmm? anyway.. i have never seen yotas like that here but pickups and no flares.. the second might be a pu though.. still no flares like that..
  12. PB Blaster work AWESOME on rusted bolts and chit... let it work for as long as you can park your truck.. a couple of days would be ideal.. soak it ever so often.. mine also had a spot weld on it that was a major pain to deal with.. search the web hard.. i found sensors for about half price.. if you're near the US border come in find and AutoZone, Napa or whatever and purchase the darn things here..
  13. check that o2 sensor again.. sounds like you're running rich... did your mpgs go down? check the ECU for any codes.. could also be bad gas.. h2o in the gas... clogged fuel filter, dirty air filter..
  14. 05 X gets better gas milage and has more horse then 04. Repak, how the hell did you save 2h per trip.. i know them volvos have 5 bagers but didn't know about warp speed.. wtf??? derogate, canadians speeding like mad??? what you guys talking aboot? 100km/h is not speeding like mad... i drove 110< most of the time there and passed everybody, and i mean everybody! where the hell are the cops up there?? didn't see any in 5 days.. mind you, not that i really needed to see one
  15. unhook the battery and let the system discharge.. give it a couple of minutes and then hook back up.. or follow the link above..
  16. well, around 2.50 today around here.. 2.48 the cheapest
  17. i really wouldn't mind sticking a diesel motor in my truck.. but i am not getting rid of it yet..
  18. no idea how many o2 seonsors there are on your truck but the shudder of the engine maybe related to it/them being bad
