  1. it may not be the starter at all but just the wireing to it.
  2. timing belt time! (my94 calls for it at 110k mi) - i bet it wasn't done.. on my 89 i felt comfortable with 120k (it called at 60k) with no prob but they tend to go around 200 if un touched.. as B said you ruin the whole motor then and it is expensive to fix/rebuild use only GL-4 in your manual tranny (if that's what you have) and if you have AT do the external cooler mod pronto... (search garage or <95 forums)
  3. by the time you add the cost of acetone you negate any benefits, if any
  4. my guess is grounding issue... may wanna get new battery cables also
  5. that option is becoming more scarse everyday..
  6. since i have driven one and wheeled with a bunch: it's a good truck, same engine as a pathy but more horse.. sucky mpgs. they have a turbo available.. a bit big and tall for the trail but they do just great.. some of the fluffy crap falls off while wheeling unless you take it off beforahand or have already upgraded.. also, same weak front end.. they do have air bags and are on frame.. parts are about as available as for pathfinders... many of their owners are a bit arselike, imho, and more of a mall wheelers variety...
  7. lsd: a bit, yes the other stuff not necessarily
  8. oh yes, the cream... errr.. i mean scum of the crop... hahaha
  9. you're crazy.. lol.. anyway, not screwed per se.. mudfinder is 2wd but he has a locker in his open read diff.. he says it's amazing difference..
  10. yeah this works pretty well and i just may get 300mi from this tank.. woot! finally.. and that's before cleaning the map.. maybe tomorrow..
  11. 4lo, slightly hold the brake and gas a bit at the same time or rock it back and forth.. 4lo is way more powerful then 4hi for this kind of thing.. avoid is actually the answer but i figured you didn't wanna hear that...
  12. well, i believe to check all that stuff when digging in there... can't repack the bearings with out disassembling all that.. cheap and quick fixes are just that quick and cheap.. then eventually you have to do it right..
  13. yes, and i read a variety of online and otherwise stories/news but AP is where i start.. most of their stories are just news.. no opinions, thank you. it also depends what kind of news... if it's related to just world news the above is where i go.. if it's financial news i tend to go to financialy related sites.. if it is sports, depends but espn get's a bit of use here.. if it is news related specifically related to Irq or other US policy related info i tend to scan the net.. quite a bit of foreign publications are written in english but i can muddle through several even if they aren't.. for weather i use wunderground.. it's got some nice features... LWS network is pretty good too..

  18. put the old one on top of the new one and look down.. it maybe noticable.. normally they slide on easily.. make sure to pack them full of grease
  19. yeah, it depends but sometimes that will work.. play with it next time.. the nissan lsd is pretty weak as mentioned above.. 88, what no linkoln locker?
