honestly sounds like a strut issue, no time like the present though to check the whole front suspension/steering for wear and grease and serviceable items. Might be a good time to address that boot and probably by now letting it sit with no grease/protection bad CV joint.

read the linked thread and answer the question yourself

For your horn issue, take the button off the wheel and make sure all tabs and contacts are intact. My horn would be intermittent when I had the blue interior, when I did the grey swap when changing the steering wheel a contact tab was only hanging on by hopes, dreams, and childrens tears. Fortunately they were in good condition on the grey wheel.

Bottom of the screen where it sais filter options you can choose different lengths of time Edit: I should add that it is not there when just using the new content button, but when just say browsing through the general section or 90-95 section. and if using the search there is a selection for date entrys you can use as well.

not to say you were going to fast period, but when knowing you have tires you can see the air through it's time to let off a little more than normal till you get some grip. Slow down don't always mean someone thinks your a speed freak I agree on the A/Ts as good suggestions as well. Those suggestions B put up are good. The BFGs are time proven and proably one of the most well known and the Yokohomas seem rather loved around these parts

Then even my exhaust can be pink! What's that smell?

thats the point of the low bars Tungsten, so stuff don't rest ON the sheetmetal
-
yea, i-to-e might have different EGR tube locations but the basics are the same. If they look even similar to Tungstens supplied pics, you got headers of some way/shape/form.

strait down from the top, right bank (the strait line of rust colored metal right bank, through the fenderwell backside of left bank through fenderwell view (my 'gap guard' on that side don't feel like bending too far right now but you get a slight idea of what the connection end looks like) all from a 88 VG30i

nothing wrong with the factory look. I actually had to shorten a factory Nissan rack to fit how I wanted (factory rack would have to share a little real estate with my targa bar, I wanted both). Don't forget a little dab of some RVT to help seal too when installing

Pace setter makes em as well, I belive there was another company or 2 that did too but off hand can't think of it/them. Doug Thorleys are the general go-to though if you go the bucks as they seem to have the best review around here (no hands on experience as I got stock manifolds but there is general good chatter throughout the forums about them)

You want something like these for your mounting so you have good strength to the rails http://img.directindustry.com/images_di/photo-g/blind-rivet-nut-504102.jpg Then basicly need both roof mount rails and whatever selection of cross bars you like (currently I have 6 of the low mount bars and 6 of the higher mount ones. I like roof bars ) That is assuming you are looking at a factory rack, you could always use the same process to fit a rack from a different SUV or possibly get a Thule/Yamaka/etc. style that clamps inside the doorjambs.

starting to get off the OP topic, but to finalize I have changed dipsticks on more than 1 occasion (once to a stick from a 90-92 that donated a bunch of stuff to me then again to ToolSheds-my parts truck for those who don't know) Safe to assume it ain't a dipstick issue Considering the day it is, I will assume no progress was made on your noise hunt today?
-
I go through this in every oil capacity based post I make, I know what the FSM sais it "should" take and I know what my dipstick sais.
-
I run thicker oil on purpose with overpriced gear lube Lucas 99% of my personal oil changes (1 time I didn't just to prove to myself my truck takes 5 full quarts, not the 4.whatever the rest of the world takes for some reason and didn't want 'not fully settled' Lucas to be a factor)... I personally ain't going to put something that THINS my oil into my engine. Bring in the Smoke-ShowSea-foam junkies and make the base additive products trifecta complete!

I looked today... Sais 13.5 on m clamps (the style you want to use that is

so stealing food trays from fast food joints to screw to my frame ain't the idea?

x2 safety should come first but tis the season people should be with their family's. x2 as well on the audio... Interwebs are hard to diagnose and judge severity of noises from at times.

Laxman0324 is back! Except not in a Pathfinder...
nunya replied to laxman0324's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Frame rot is actually an issue on both year ranges... reigon of origin being a factor in the speed/severty as well. This thread is about Laxman's new truck, remember this with your posts please. I'd try to push for those TRD wheels man, they will definatly help with the main killer of that things looks (in my eyes at least). Enough persuasion and the Mrs will get tired o hearing about it and give in! -
Oh their thick and can take a wHack but it only takes that one odd azz hit in the right spot to make a leaky gash, an unhappy hole, or rip a drain plug out!

My stock front skid is off a 4 door wd21 and my transfer case one is one I had still from my 91 HB. Tank skid was actually still there when I got him. So the front one and transfer case ones I can say will interchange between wd21s, they share the same frame anyway. Apparently Xterra front skids will work too, stock X skid images I find look cosmetically the same to me only lacking the hole for the rad drain hose . (Curious on that stacked tank skid idea too... You got any pics of that KovemaN?)
-
have you ever checked the fluid level? Made sure it's nice and full so everything gets lubed good and right?
-
thanks for the link with dead pics B

stock wd21 bumpers are tinny and only bumpers in a theoretical term to begin with but are still some form of protection for your front end. As for removing the grill, the pic you supplied was as stated a HB front end conversion and the wd21 headlights lacking a grill look rather junk-ish (to each their own though) and your horns ain't cool and bright orange either, more like the one on top in this pic (probably about as pretty of shape as well ) he has Hella brand horns IIRC. The grill helps protect all kinds of road hazards (things get kicked up from someones tires all the time) Maby find something to upgrade with bumper-wise if you don't like it and your imagination can help you come up with some neat unique thing for the grill (or copy a grill setup you like) but I would suggest against driving without either on or off the road.
