  1. Ive always been a fan of OME springs so I will probably go that route, thanks for your help!
  2. I have been somewhat disappointed by the lack of aftermarket Nissan parts, in part because I used to wheel a Toyota. My pathfinder had some sort of 2"-3" spacer lift on it when I bought it. As with most spacer lifts, the back is beginning to sag. Could yall tell me where I could find some suspension parts for these trucks? I havent decided if I want to go with new springs and keep the existing spacer, add another spacer on it, or get a bigger spacer. It will probably just come down to what I can find and is cheapest. I could care less about the ride quality so that is a non-issue. Another question that I could probably find myself by searching (but this is easier): what are my options as far as a rear locker goes? I am spoiled as my old 4Runner had a factory e-locker so any lunchbox lockers are out of the question. Is ARB my only real option when it comes to selectable lockers? Thanks ahead for any advice, it is greatly appreciated!
  3. Yeah I'm not afraid to get into it, I typically do all of my own repairs and maintenance, but that was on my old Toyota. This pathfinder is surprisingly different and I'm just not familiar with this engine at all. Im about to go tinker with, will let yall know if I figure it out. Thanks for the help
  4. Now that I look at it again I dont see how this could be the cause No idea where that goes
  5. Its funny you said that, there was a wiring harness bracket that the mechanic left sitting on the windshield. I assumed a bracket wouldnt really affect anything. Does nt having a wiring harness bracket make it so the codes dont read?
  6. I had my valve cover gasket replaced at home a few weeks ago and the Service Engine Soon light has been on ever siince. I would take it back to where I had it worked on but I currently live several hours from there. I just went to Autozone and Advanced to have the codes read and both scanners had errors when trying to read the codes. Is there any fuse/ relay that I should check? I checked a lot of the fuses that I thought could possibly affect it and they were all good. Thanks for any help! Jordan
  7. I installed warn manual hubs. No clue about how many miles are on the struts. They are aftermarket and were on them when I bought it. The thing that ruled out the struts for me is that it gets louder the faster I go and visa versa. It completely goes away when I dip below 5 mph. The steering could definitely be the culprit. I have been adding power steering fluid every couple months. I just finished replacing the entire CV axle. Once I had everything apart I expected to be able to see where something was rubbing but there was nothing. Everything seemed completely normal. I initially thought wheel bearings but there is no play in the tire. Also no play in the steering whatsoever. I just drove it around and hit a bunch of speed bumps and couldnt get it to do it again. I am hopeful that somehow the CV axle was causing it but that just makes absolutely no sense. I put a zip tie around it to see if the CV was spinning as I drove despite having the hubs open but it didnt move at all. I guess that rules out the front diff. I also thought it could be something stupid like a loose dust cover hitting the rotor but I think that would be more of a screeching sound. I guess I will just wait it out and hope that the new cv axle will fix it. I hate problems like this, where you cant know for sure whether or not its fixed. I will keep you all posted. If anyone can explain why a CV axle could cause vibrations on a manual hub truck it would definitely help me sleep tonight! Thanks for all of the responses, greatly appreciated!
  8. My CV axle boot has been destroyed for quite some time but since I have manual hubs and I never use 4wd anymore I put off fixing it for a while. Recently though, the front has been sporadically making a loud humming noise and shakes the entire truck from the front right (same side as bad CV.) It usually happens after hitting a speed bump or bump in the road and will continue until I hit another bump and it goes away entirely. I am completely stumped as to what could be causing this. The front suspension setup is completely different than my old 4Runner so I am kind of lost. Could the CV be causing the vibrating even though it doesnt (shouldnt) spin with the hubs open? Thanks for any help! Jordan
  9. Haha yeah. . . parking at my apartment complex is absolutely terrible so they dont care if you park in those spots. I still have the original bumpers and fender flares (tan) that I am going to put back on. I like the rear bumper so that will probably stay on. I couldnt tell you how he got the 33's to fit, if i had to guess the wheels have a really low backspacing, but i'm not sure.
  10. Hey everyone, I just traded my old rig for a 99.5 Pathfinder on 33x12.5 with custom front and rear bumpers (though the front one is for sale) along with a bunch of other little things. I am not at all new to the offroading scene, I used to drive a 99 5 Speed 4Runner on 35's, regeared and locked front and rear with armor all the way around. I live in Auburn Alabama and have wheeled almost everywhere in the southeast. Unfortunately I cant afford to offroad while I am still in school so I traded for the Pathfinder since it is more DDable. I am done blabbering, here are some pics: Old Rig: Harlan And the Pathfinder: Long term I would like to SAS the pathfinder and possibly do a chop top, though that wont be until after I graduate. The front bumper is for sale if anyone is interested http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=28191 Also, could anyone give me some suggestions for some kick out sliders? Jordan
