  1. Is there a seperate module somewhere that gets information from the level sensor and the module is what controls the light? I know things are continuously wearing out (233k miles) but I can't stand lights on in the cluster, it is too annoying.
  2. So yesterday I was driving home from work and my gas light slowly came on. Approximately 3/4's of a tank in there (I know this for a fact). It went off for about 5 minutes and came back on the rest of the way home. Then this morning it was on all the way to work (22 miles). Gauge still reads correctly, trip odometer working...my Tach doesn't work but it never has This happened about 2 years ago where it came on for about 5 miles and went off, haven't seen it since, till yesterday. I have never seen it come on when I am actually low on gas, only these two times? Any thoughts on what may be going on?

  5. I am looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Might get me going on building one of my own too. Which WILL have cup holders. Someone mentioned moving the parking brake handle, is there a write up on this somewhere?
  6. WOW!!! I can't wait to see the "after" picture, should be pretty mean.
  7. Was I misinformed or can you actually swap the supercharger from an "X" onto the vg30e? Or manifolds and supercharger? I can't seem to find anything about it while searching...
  8. Any idea how long I want to hold it at that RPM? Any other thoughts?
  9. Hey guys. I am planning on replacing my lifters (driver's side only at this time) in the next week or two. I got 6 new OEM lifters from the Nissan dealer. I saw one thread on here that mentioned using a certain oil for break in and running the engine at 2K rpm for 15 minutes or so to initiate proper wearing. Though after that post there was no confirmation that this is the proper way to do this. I was wondering if anyone can confirm or deny this. What is the proper way to install lifters and properly break them in. I don't want to do this more than once (OEM lifter's aren't cheap!!). I also saw on the "proper procedure" (Mitchell and AllData) that during installation cylinder 1 should be placed at TDC prior to tightening the rocker arm assembly, then cylinder 4 at TDC also. I can't think of the reasoning behind this. Any help would be much appreciated. Pictures would be great too. Doug
  10. I had the same problem with my 95 when I bought it. I have put 2 or 3 JY tachs in it and one bought from a member here. Each one seems to work fine for a few weeks or a month or so, but they all eventually start being jumpy. I guess I should stop swapping tachs and find something else that is causing it...
  11. Good to know, thanks. By the way, do you remember the length you got? I can't even see the nut, let alone see how to measure it.
  12. Same length as the nut? Isn't it just a threaded hole on the frame or is there a nut welded on the back side that I can't seem to get to?
  13. Great work, its good to see people with idea's that some people say can't happen, and they make it happen anyway.
  14. hey MY1PATH, did you just use the same size timesert? 14x1.5?
  15. Thanks, I will check that site out.

  17. Hey guys/girls, I ran into a slight issue today. So my UCA bushings were shot (Calmini 3" lift). I got replacement bushings and sleeves from Steve at Rugged Rocks (great guy and very helpful). I went into my work today to replace them, so I could have a lift, air tools, and an alignment rack Bushings went in no problem but when I was doing the alignment I ran into a problem. I put the proper shims in and was tightening the bolts that hold the upper control arm...arm? to the frame. Maybe its called an upper spindle arm? I'm not sure, it is what the control arm mounts to and this bar mounts to the frame. Either way, the front bolt on the right side pulled the threads out of the frame. I got a bolt to kinda tighten so I was able to get it home, where it will sit for a while, I will drive my other car. I keep telling myself its a perfect time for a SAS but I still don't have the funds for that. I can't really think of any other option though, helicoil? Drill and tap it for a larger bolt? Any ideas? Thanks.
  18. Found the wire that went to the latch, unplugged the connector and all is well. Thanks guys.
  19. Thanks guys, I am walking out the door right now to hopefully take care of this.
  20. Steve was a lot of help for me when I ordered the Calmini lift kit as well. Great Guy!!
  21. So I have had this weird thing going on for the past month or so. Whenever I hit a fairly large bump or turn right, my car thinks a door is open. The interior lights go on as does the light on the dash saying there is a door open. I have disconected both front and rear door switches hoping it would stop happening, but it didn't. The only thing I can think of before I dig really deep into the wiring, is the tailgate switch but I can't find it. Not the tire carrier switch but the actual tailgate. Hopefully someone can help me out so I can fix this crap. I know somebody on here has an answer. Thanks.
  22. Those lights look great, I wouldn't mind seeing a write-up.
  23. I can't wait to see how this works out.
