What motor did you pull out of it? The nissan tach is controlled by the ecu and when I put a new tach in my Pathy (95 SE V6), it reads higher than it should and I figured out that it is because the tach I got from the jy was out of a 4-cylinder so the tach reads 4 pulses and my ecu is giving it 6 pulses per revolution. If I am incorrect someone correct me but that is what I figured was wrong with mine. And if your tach is out of a 4 cyl it may be the same issue. I'm not 100% though. Just an idea.

I have to re-seal mine too. I replace the t-stat a few weeks ago and now it leaks. The sealant I used was really old. I don't know if it was that or if I didn't use enough. I used a very small amount. I am going to grab a new tube of stuff and go at it again.

Removing fan and shroud, drive belts and pulleys, all that fun stuff. Is there a way to not have to do that on the VG30E? That is how the manual says to do it

Mine was doing the exact same thing. I just replaced my t-stat a few weeks ago with 180. The heat gets really hot now. It did take about 3 hours to do and I get to take it all apart again cause I didn't seal the t-stat housing correct WOOHOO!!!! edit: this was on a 95 SE btw

I also think they look tougher w/out them, therefore I took mine off.

I want more info on those aircraft landing lights. Those look great in the pictures.
