  1. I will probably wait till it warms up a bit before I take it apart. I thought the R50 (?96+) had the heated mirrors but not the wd21. Would be cool to find some at the jy.
  2. I am pretty sure I have been in a full on 4-wheel slide. I can't remember if I was in 2wd or 4 though. I would assume that if it was that slippery I woulda been in 4. I will have to check it next time it snows, 2wd and grab the hooks, see what happens. I have never had a car with ABS so I'm not missing anything, just wondering about the light. No ideas about seat covers?
  3. So you're saying I should have ABS? Maybe just a bad sensor?
  4. Is there a way to change the bulb out? And yes I do have power mirrors, just not heated.
  5. I wonder if it is as simple as a fuse. The radio works and everything though
  6. Ok, so I have a 95 SE 5-spd. There is an "ABS" light that lights up when I first start up the pathy, yet when I am driving in wet/ice/snow and hit the brakes hard to see how slippery it is.....nothing, just sliding. Never felt them engage or activate, or whatever. Am I supposed to have ABS or is my truck lying to me? Second question, my pathy has 198,2xx miles on it. Obviously the drivers seat has been warn a bit. There are a few pretty good sized tears in it. I installed aftermarket seat heaters in it (I love them) but it just looks soooooo bad. I was wondering if there are any options out there for seat covers that actually fit and won't slide around and get all bunched up and look like crap. I would prefer them not to have "type R" or Yosemite Sam on them Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  7. Hey guys/girls. I was wondering if the stock head unit (95 SE) is supposed to light up. The screen does so I know what station I am on but NONE of the buttons do, I have gotten used to where they are by now but it is still a pita. Just wondering if it is even supposed to be lit. Also, were heated mirrors ever an option on the wd21? Thanks.
  8. I would like to see pictures if you have them.
  9. Congrats, thats a good looking pathy
  10. Very good find. I love to learn more about my pathy
  11. I was having the same issues. I used two rubber grommets off a motorcycle kick start lever and zip tied them to the bars on the carrier. On the very inside by the hinge when the carrier was open. It put enough pressure on them to silence the rattle besides over BIG bumps and that was still rarely. I eventually took the carrier off and put the tire on the roof but I might go back to the carrier.
  12. I agree that lubing it might just do the job. My auto antenna hasn't worked since I got it.
  13. I have a cluster out of a hardbody. Not sure as the year but it is the same cluster as in my 95 Pathy, minus the clock. It has a bad tach cause I took the good one for my car but the speedo should work. Never tested it. PM me if you need it.
  14. Any ideas if it is possible that my CEL could be what tells me I am low?
  15. I was having problems with my tach also on my 95. The tach is controlled be the ecu so most likely it is the tach head itself. I got a cluster out of a jy and replaced just the tach head. I fixed the problem kinda, it is out of a 4 cylinder and mine is a 6 so the tach doesn't read correctly but at least it isn't jumping all over the place anymore. I would search your local jy for a new cluster.
  16. So I put a two gallon gas caddy in the back and drove till either a light came on or it started to sputter. Is it possible that on my 95 SE the check engine light is the gas light? Last night I was driving and the check engine light was acting like a gas light. It would go on but if I pushed in the clutch to coast, it would go off. Just like a typical gas light does when it first starts to go on. It never went on solid. When I saw that I filled up and it took 19.7 gallons at just over 305 miles. ~15mpg It has not gone on since I filled up so I can only imagine that the check engine light is my gas light. I have seen "check gauges" lights used for fuel but never check engine. Any thoughts on the check engine light for fuel? Seems kinda odd to me.
  17. I know the Del Sol seats are very supportive laterally. I had them in my old civic coupe and they held great in the turns. I'm sure they would work pretty well offroad tool.
  18. ^^^ Good thing you didn't float the wrong direction
  19. I am getting really low on this tank so I might just put a two gallon caddy in the back just in case the light doesn't come on.
  20. Does the temp gauge go up or is that low too? Possible stuck thermostat, low on coolant?
  21. Welcome to the site. I'm sure you won't have any problems finding answers to your questions. I know I haven't.
