  1. Hey 88, i'm going to be heading to a couple u pull it yards this weekend to get some jgc coils. I"m wondering, what new shocks should i get to accommodate the lift the new coil springs are going to give? Also, is cranking the torsion bars the only way to get a front end lift? I'm thinking about going with the JGC coil lift, and getting some coil spacers, which should give about a 5" lift, but what should i do about the front end? Do you recommend me only going with the JGC coil lift, cranking the torsion bars and getting a body lift to help with my oversize tires and clearance? Any input helps! Thanks alot!
  2. Just ordered a couple stickers for myself! Can't wait to get em on the pathy!
  3. I'm assuming.... well, i'm hoping this will work for an 87 body lift as well? This write up is great, and i'm hoping it will work to follow for my 87? Thanks!
  4. Well... if its in neutral, and i'm just coasting, its not too loud, but if i downshift, or accelerate hard... it gets loud as hell. clicking... after driving a while, it doesn't seem to really get any quieter, it is pretty much always, insanely loud. (minus coasting) i was told i'll have to pull the engine to get the manifolds out. is that true? and looking on ebay, they have new manifolds for somewhat of a decent price, would it be wise to buy those, and try and replace them? ive got my chiltons, but i'm definitely no mechanic. haha
  5. Yeah!!! it is horribly expensive!!! i've just kind of ignored it for a while, but now that winters coming, and its cold... my windows aren't down as much, and my heater is on.... wooooooo, does it smell like exhaust.... i really don't know what to do. and passing out, doesn't sound too fun. haha. plus, the looks i get when i drive by aren't funny to me anymore.... 6. So, i don't really even know where to start, to try to explain my exhaust manifold problem. My car is soooo ridiculously loud. and at first, i didn't mind too much, but now its starting to get annoying, and i was wondering if your ticking problem was very loud?.. I know that my problem is the Exhaust manifold, but could it be bigger? and, how would i go about finding what to drill out? If you have no idea! thats totally fine, i really didn't know who to ask or where to start. Thanks!
  7. So i'm wondering.... does your pathy start like it should now? Mine had the exact same problem, and i'm in the process between school, work and getting the funds to getting my old one out, that now click, click, clicks.... and doesn't start anymore, and getting a new one in. SO i'm hoping i don't have a bigger problem then just the starter?
  8. Awesome!!! thank you thank you thank you!
  9. I was at Checker today, because my pathy was doing the same thing.... 3 clicks, then a start... or 20 clicks, and a start....when i asked him to check my starter, he said their little "checker machine thing" would say it is completely fine if it starts.... the starter just has a dead spot... will work sometimes, and sometimes wont... and therefor, you need to have a new one put in. eventually it will just completely die.... tons of clicks, but no turnover.
  10. So i payed 800 bucks for my 87 pathy about 6 months ago. No good exhaust manifold (sounds like a rice burner), have changed the oil twice, and put a new sound system in it... and thats about it. I'm getting new tires for 'er in the next couple of weeks, and i figured... i may as well try and fix the gauges. (Fuel, Engine Temp, Oil) these are all non working.... I'm not really sure where to start, i have my chiltons and i will look through that, but i'm just wondering if there is a simple fix for these? Or what i should do? Any help would be awesome! thanks everybody! Also, forgive me if there is a forum topic on here already about this.... i looked, but didn't find anything. Thanks again!
  11. Hey Pathfinder-jay. I like the site idea! is it fully up? i couldn't find a link, and i would love to be a part of it! let me know! awesome! thanks
  12. Awesome! thank you!, and i will definitely add a bit more to my "profile"
  13. Ive been looking for a relatively cheap lift kit for my pathy. I dont want a body lift, but a suspension lift....I am not loaded,so cost is a factor, and i was wondering if anybody knew of a decently priced suspension lift kit, online, that i would install myself? 2 or 3 inch is plenty. Thanks for your help!
